There will be hard times during our journey in life and business when we are running on fumes, tapped out, and desperately in need of rescuing. For many of us, that time is now. The past week has been a constant struggle with, “Who has time to rest when there is so much to do.” My heart physically aches at what is going on in our world. My mind has been stuck in a perpetual circle of empathy, restlessness, and depression at the challenges the past few weeks and months have given us. And feeling overwhelmed at the changes that need to happen. Right now, my brain is dead. I feel the passion and drive in my soul along with the outrage and injustice. But my brain isn’t processing and connecting at the moment. I need to take a breather and put my oxygen mask on first - to rest, regroup, and recharge before I can move forward with helping others and taking effective actions. 🤎 Anyone else feeling this? ⭐️ We just have to reset the expectations we place on ourselves so that we’re aligned with our personal purpose, passion for our work, and what our individual definition of success is. Guilt comes from not meeting the expectations that we create in our minds (consciously or subconsciously).
