Sudbury Primary Summer Fair was a huge success, despite the rain! Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed the day. Well done and thank you to all those who helped make this an amazing day for our children. Next year will be even better, even if it rains!

Children in Years 1, 2 and 3 had a great time in Hyde Park! Despite the unexpected rain, the children enjoyed a picnic and had a great time playing with their friends. Thank you to all those who came to support us.

We were sorry that the Years 4, 5 and 6 trip had to be cancelled due to heavy rain and soggy ground. However, the children have had a great day in school!

Last week, the Year 4-6 Eco-Warriors carried out a local litter pick. The children walked around Sudbury and were shocked to see how much litter there was. In 1 hour, they collected five bags of litter! 😮🚯

📍 Hot Spot Mapping Exercise 🌟

Our school council children had a fantastic time participating in a hot spot mapping exercise! They identified areas within the school and its immediate surroundings where they feel safe (cool zones) and areas where they feel unsafe (hot zones). This important information is a crucial part of our ongoing initiative to make our school an even safer place. 🏫💚

Sudbury Primary School celebrated French Day on 18th June. Staff and pupils came into school dressed in the colours of the French flag. 🟦⬜🟥

Throughout the day, there were a variety of activities for the pupils to take part in as well as a special French performance 'Le Château'. The pupils had lots of fun and enjoyed the day. The pupils also had the experience of a French themed menu.

Sunflower class performed their first assembly to the whole school last week Friday. The assembly was to raise awareness about World Environment Day and what we can do to bring positive change and make a better world for future generations.🌏🌐

Nursery Tesco Trip

As part of our curriculum focus on nutrition and healthy lifestyles, we went on a trip to our local Tesco. During this visit, the children had the chance to purchase fruits that are featured in the beloved children’s book, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. 🐛🦋

This hands-on experience engaged the children in a fun and interactive way, but also encouraged them to make healthy food choices. By seeing, touching and selecting fruits themselves, they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of nutritious food into their diet. Children also gained valuable skills such as decision making and budgeting as they navigated through the aisles to choose and then pay for their fruits. We were also greeted by the Tesco’s Manager. 🍓🍏🍍

Children also learnt about the importance of road safety and stranger danger. 🚦🚸

The children then used their fine motor skills to chop and slice the fruits to create a delicious fruit salad which they then enjoyed eating. 🍇🥝🍊

Brent Schools Girls Cricket Tournament

🏏 We are thrilled to announce that our girls’ cricket team secured silver medals at the Brent Schools Girls Cricket Tournament! 🥈 The team showcased exceptional skill and determination, winning all their group games convincingly. In the final, they faced a tough match against Byron Court, narrowly missing out on the gold in a closely contested encounter. Despite the absence of some key players, the team performed brilliantly, demonstrating excellent team spirit and resilience. Their outstanding achievement is a testament to their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to our girls for making us proud! 👏🎉

Brent Schools Boys Cricket Tournament

🏏 We are pleased to announce that our boys' cricket team won the bronze medals at the Brent Schools Boys Cricket Tournament! 🥉 The team demonstrated outstanding skill, teamwork, and effort, winning all their group games with impressive performances. In the semi-finals, they faced a tough challenge against Ark Franklin and narrowly lost by just a couple of runs. However, they bounced back with determination and secured a convincing victory in the third-place playoff, earning the bronze medals. Congratulations to our boys for their hard work and success! Your school is proud of you. Well done! 👏🎉
