So excited that I got my class list so I am labeling all the things. I printed these personalized mason jars on magnetic paper to decorate my door. With them being magnetic it is going to be so much easier than tape or hot glue. I can’t wait to put it all together. When do you get your class list? If you need this magnetic paper I got it on Amazon and the link is in my profile. #labelallthethings #modernfarmhouseclassroom #magneticpaper

I can’t wait to use these lacing letters from @educationbyorientaltrading for word work with my kiddos. They are great for letter recognition, sight words, Phonics patterns and fine motor. You can get some for your classroom using the link in my profile. If you want the freebie word work mat check out my story to download it. I found these awesome lip balms today to use as “smelly spots”. My friend Erica @theenthusiasticclass came up with this brilliant student reward. The crayons are too cute and smell good enough to eat! The way it works is you just dab a small dot of lip balm on the back of the students right hand as a reward for behavior, kindness, following directions, anything. Instant reward! (Be sure to check for allergies first) Plus it helps them learn their left from right. I’ve been wanting to try this out for a while. When I saw these today I couldn’t resist getting them. Plus my RaeDunn treat jar is perfect for holding them. Do you have a fun way to motivate/reward your students? #classroomrewards #lipsmackers #studentrewards

This is one of my favorite beginning of the year letter activities. It’s perfect for fine motor practice and letter recognition. Win-win! The letter matching card is a freebie from @tickledpinkinprimary and I got my macaroni a few years back from Kraft, but I saw some on Amazon too. What is a fine motor activity you like to use? #finemotoractivity #alphabetpractice #sensoryactivities

I am loving how these alphabet posters turned out. I can’t wait to hang them in my new room. I also made a version with primary lines. (Swipe to see them) I can’t decide which to use. Which do you like better, lines or no lines? You can grab these by clicking the link in my profile and they are 50% off for the next 24 hours. Plus you get both versions in the download. #alphabetposters #farmhouseclassroom

This weeks Friday Favorites is the book My Mouth is a Volcano. This is a great book to read with students and then have a discussion about blurting out and interrupting. We do need to validate students and be sure we let them know that what they have to share is important, but there is a proper time and way to share their thoughts. It is a fun book and a great way to set classroom expectations! Do you have a favorite book for taking about blurting out? #fridayfavoritebookpicks #picturebooks #socialstories #summerfamilyreadingchallenge
