  • These photos were taken at #jogyesa - the Chief Temple of the Jogye Order of Korean #buddhism. Amanda and I couldn't believe our luck as we accidentally found Jogyesa when we became lost looking for somewhere else nearby! The origins of a Buddhist temple at this particular location have apparently been traced back to as far as the year 1395. Here you can see the vibrant and striking preparations for Buddha's birthday to be celebrated in #Korea between the 6th and 8th May 2019. The highlight of this festival is a colourful Lotus Lantern Parade made possible by thousands of people carrying lanterns like these through the surrounding streets of #seoul. Jogyesa provides a temple stay option for those wishing to learn more about themselves and the practice of Buddhism through immersion, with a secondary aim of discovering ones happy self. Anybody could take part in preparing the lanterns you see in our photos creating a great sense of #community, #emotionalwellbeing and #happiness which was very evident to us as we sat and absorbed as much as we possibly could ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š. #prohealthology

  • Sacred #lakebaikal in southern #siberia is the world's largest freshwater lake - in every sense of the word. It is the longest (similar length to Portugal at 636km), oldest, deepest (5,387ft), clearest mass of #freshwater on #planetearth. Up to 23% of all of our planet's freshwater is here in this one lake! It is such an old and vast lake nobody knows how it came to have the endemic #baikalseal. It was extremely humbling to see a relatively tiny section of such a vast volume of clean freshwater - and to be able to drink safely straight from this crevasse with your bare hands was quite unique. You can see Amanda standing over the melting shoreline as spring has arrived in the region. Protecting the lake from pollution is vital for our future... #greenpeacerussia are thankfully already raising awareness of this important issue

  • An #onsenโ™จ๏ธ (Japanese natural hot spring) might be enjoyed by the infamous #snowmonkeys as much as humans. They must feel that #wellnesswarrior 'get up and go' value to a #hotspring particularly on those wintery icey mornings before they get moving for the day... Fantastic to see these wild animals up close like this. What are your #morningrituals and #morningmotivations to kickstart your day?
