Okay I know we've talked about this but honestly do you ever feel better about yourself after a long IG scrolling session? For me that's a big no.⠀ ⠀ People only share the best of the best whether that’s in business or personally and it can make you feel really bad about yourself - like your life isn’t as good or your successes aren’t as great. ⠀ ⠀ So for productivity sake and to reduce the comparison game I’m doing less scrolling and more creating! Who’s in? 🙋🏻♀️⠀ ⠀ This quote was overheard at the #bloomingbloggers event back in January and it’s really stuck with me. I’ve reduced my aimless scrolling time and I have got so much more done and stayed way more focused!⠀ ⠀ I even put a 1-hour time limit on my social apps so they shut down on my phone after I’ve hit an hour 👏🏻⠀ ⠀ Do you have any tips that have worked for reducing your social media time?👇🏻
Smiling because I think I feel spring in the air! 🌸 🍃 There’s always something so motivating and energizing about spring. I especially notice it in my business - I’m full of ideas, inspiration and ready to conquer those goals 🙌🏻 Do you feel motivated this time of year in your business?

Everyone started somewhere. Even that person you look up to that you think has it all together started somewhere. Let go of comparison and start working your way up that staircase!
Before we even start building the website we focus completely on strategy. Putting together a mood board to help influence the design of the site is part of this piece. To get here we have to look at some of our competitors to see what we like and what we don't like. ⠀ ⠀ We have to find inspiration everywhere. Usually this comes from Pinterest but it can also come from in person stores, magazines, movies, music videos, music. We need to be confident in our goals and vision while we start looking for inspiration elsewhere. ⠀ ⠀ If you didn't get a chance to read the post from this week click the link in my bio. ⠀ ⠀ Working on a gorgeous project and utilizing all the inspiration from this board! 💇✂️💅🏻
I have had the exact same conversation with so many people over the last couple weeks!⠀ ⠀ Why do we feel so bad about ourselves after we get caught up scrolling Instagram? Well we all know the answer - it's because Instagram is a highlight reel. You don't see the full picture, you see one moment in time from someone's life that they are carefully choosing to present to you.⠀ ⠀ We all know this so why do we find ourselves deep, deep in our feed an hour after we said we were exhausted and going to bed 😂⠀ ⠀ The same thing can happen when we are doing a competitive analysis for our business. It is important to research our competition to see what others are doing and get inspiration but how do we do this without comparing ourselves and getting caught in that same trap we do on Instagram? ⠀ ⠀ Today on the blog I'm sharing my top tips on how to make the most out of your competitive analysis.
Understanding your target client begins with understanding yourself! ⠀ ⠀ You need to understand your goals, desires, dream, habits, preferences! You need to be so confident in who you are and what you offer so you can fully understand your target client and start selling to them in an authentic way. ⠀ ⠀ On the blog I share how we lead our clients through this process at 86th & Trend and I give a couple great tips that can help you start to work through this for yourself. ⠀ ⠀ This work here sets the tone for your entire website and your business trajectory!⠀ ⠀ Do you agree? 👇🏻
New website here 🥂💍✨ ⠀ ⠀ One of the reasons I had for doing my own website refresh was because I’ve worked on getting even more clear on who my target client is. I know everything about my client - she has a name, I know where she hangs out, I know what goals she has for her business, I know where she shops, eats, and vacations! .... EVERYTHING 😂 ⠀ ⠀ This is how clear you should be on your target client and then once you are super clear make sure you are speaking directly to your client on your site! ⠀ ⠀ Kelly fit my ideal client so well that it was obvious she was going to be so fun to work with! ⠀ ⠀ She had gorgeous images already that we used as a starting point for her website refresh and then we up-leveled her entire design & website strategy to speak more directly to her ideal client and to showcase her services! ⠀ ⠀ Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
