  • LB's Meet the Artist Series 🎨 Featuring the lovely, Becks, the awesome artist guiding Sip & Paint today! 🍷 . Q: How long have you been a QT local? A: I've been in Queenstown for eight glorious years. 📍 . Q: Funniest moment at a sip & paint? Is there one? A: There are many funniest moments, mostly I love giving people an insight into their own capabilities. . Q: How did you get into sipping & painting? A: I love connecting with friends and having adventures. One thing I realised over the years is how scared some of my friends are to create art, they fear judgement and are concerned about the outcome. 🎨 I wanted to show them how fun art could be and started inviting friends over to do just that over two years ago, every Term holiday. My first paint and sip I blindfolded them and asked them to paint to music I played them, it was all about the process, not the outcome. 🎶 . Q: What inspired you to become an artist? A: I think all of us are artists when we come into this world, we are all creative and have imaginations. It's keeping it that's the hard part! I think Picasso said it best: “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. I've been privileged to have a mother that cultivated and nurtured my passions and it has stayed with me throughout my life. . Q: Something people don't know? A: I have a strong link to Little Blackwood, I met my husband lining up for the bathroom eight years ago when it was The Boiler Room! I also was grateful to be asked to paint the two murals that currently are displayed in LB. 🤗
