Back from a much needed beach vacation, July 1st is right around the corner and it’a a four day work week for me! 🙌🏽 It’s never too late in the year to make a fresh new start. 2020 hasn’t been normal and the first 6 months have definitely felt like a year in itself. So let’s hit the refresh button on 2020 this week (I’m talking to myself here). Maybe I’ll actually use my planner to complete tasks/projects now.
Heading to the beach tomorrow and I cannot wait to be this tan again! Is it just me or are you not a more joyful person when you‘ve got a golden summer tan?! 💁🏼♀️ Well hey, if you’re new here, I’m Heather! And if there’s anything you need to know it’s these: 1️⃣ Shopping is a terrible habit but it's therapeutic so oh well. I have gotten a lot better but I'm not perfect. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2️⃣ If you wanted to get drinks together, make sure they offer moscato! Nellies Southern Kitchen in Belmont has the best 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3️⃣ I'm an Enneagram 1w2. If you don't know your number or even what the Enneagram is you should look it up and take the test (take it several times) and then go read books about your number. You'll learn so much about yourself and maybe even about others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4️⃣ I enjoy visiting new places and going on adventures with the people I love! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 5️⃣ In addition to my photography, I have major love and passion for graphic design, interior design, and fashion! All of which involve my love for shopping 😂 So tell me, do we have anything in common? 👇🏼
Scroll to see 10 years of change 👉🏽 10 years ago today, I graduated high school. Photography was just a hobby for me at the time. I used to take my swim coach’s camera at meets and take pictures of everyone else. (Thanks @hawkinsroger ). This is literally one of only two pictures I have from that day, period. Even tho it’s a staged picture I was in a MOOD and did not want to take pics at all. I planned to go to college but had no idea what to major in. I started out in Psychology cause that’s what my mom did and frankly the only thing I knew to choose. 🎓 6 years and a month ago, I graduated from college with a degree in Photojournalism. I was passionate about sports photography and actually upon graduation had two internships lined up for summer and fall. That summer I went to Richmond, VA to be a photog intern at the International Mission Board. That fall I fulfilled a dream with an internship in New York City at Sports Illustrated. 🎓 2020 I’m a wedding and portrait photographer with my own business. And I wouldn’t be here today without my team of experts who help keep my business smooth sailing. Fellow entrepreneurs who encourage me and guide me along this path. And family, friends and clients who support my talent and love me. I couldn’t be more grateful for where this camera has taken me: the cities I’ve lived in / visited and the people I’ve met. A lot has changed in 10 years but one thing that hasn’t is my passion and love for photography and telling the stories of others through my lens 📷
It has been a DAY y’all😔 •Puppy throwing up every where. •Kitchen ceiling leaking. •Spent $50 for the AC guy to tell me to call HOA. •Having to deal with said HOA company. •Late for work calls. But I did reorganize my drawers, and get all the laundry done (even put the clothes away). So I’m calling it a night with some Greys Anatomy, popcorn and starting my packing list for the beach in a week and half 🙃 Here are some pretty bouquets to look at. Lol. What’s your guilty pleasure after a long hard day?👇🏽
The first session back after quarantine was a success! 🙌🏼 These two shared all the love and stories during their maternity session and it was such fun getting to know them. You'd never believe me but we managed to dodge hundreds of people in the park that day. It was the busiest I've ever seen. Well you might believe me since it was one of the first weekends back after NC phase 1 reopening. 🥰 What's funny is they were guests at a wedding last fall and they were. so impressed by the pictures from that wedding they had to book themselves! Photographers, someone is always watching you while you work and never know who you might impress. Even if you never have direct contact with them or the smallest interaction. Be your best and do your best always! The goodness will return to you, one day!
