How do you know you've found the perfect photographer? 📷 Brides I'm talking to you! 👰🏼 1. Know what style you like? 👈🏽Do you like bright and airy pictures or do you like dark and moody? Are you more interested in the natural/candid style or more posed? Are you okay with flash and faux lighting (studio style) or natural light (the sun)? In my opinion, this is the first thing to figure out and it will help you refine your search from the beginning. 2. Know your price point? 👈🏽Obviously this a big deal. Planning a wedding involves making and sticking to a budget. If you don’t know your budget then you might end up going broke and that’s not a good way to start a marriage. However, without going into too long of a tangent, if you cut corners on your photography and use a family friend who is just starting out then it’s quite possible that you won’t get the quality of images and experience that you deserve. We all deserve amazing images! 🤗 I have a few more tips on the blog! Use the link in my bio to read some tips about how to make sure you've found the perfect wedding photographer for you!
The last wedding of the spring wedding season is finally live on the blog!! Meredith and Ben's sweet love story has been a joy to capture and get to know. Their wedding at the Bottle Factory in downtown Monroe was the most casual wedding I've ever been a part of. The day was truly focused on their marriage and not the glitz and glam of what weddings can be sometimes. Head to the blog to see how sweet their first look was😍
This was me yesterday when I booked another wedding!! 🍾 For some reason this year has been the worst with ghosting. If you're not familiar with the term, it means the practice of withdrawing from all communication with someone suddenly and without explanation. If I'm being honest here, just a smiple reply with your reason for going with someone else is all we need. Just close the loop. If we're out of your budget (which is the most common reason) then simply let us know. Maybe it's something that can be worked around and offered a custom package, you never know if you don't ask. If the pricing or info guide was too confusing, give us some feedback so we don't confuse another bride. If the style or dates don't align with your vision of your wedding, just let us know. Almost every vendor I know would love to have any feedback or information as to why you chose someone else. We won't get mad! Ghosting is rude. 🤷🏼♀️ Brides, did you know your vendors are just as excited when you actually book them as you are to actually be engaged?!! If you find the right person and you love them and they are invested in your story, they are going to jump up and down, pop the confetti, and smile like this for days when you book them! I had a thought last week, that not many of our clients see our excitement and understand how much we love and want to serve them. So while you're screaming, popping champagne and jumping up and down after your proposal we are all right there to celebrate with you! 🎉 Wedding vendors, we should start showing that excitement more often! Show your clients and future clients how much you want to serve them! Maybe they'll be more excited or enticed to book or at least not ghost us anymore! 😘
These two are officially married! Their wedding was full of joy and complete adoration! I mean just look at how they look at each other 😍 Even though a crazy storm rolled through during their ceremony, they spoke their vows, were prayed over and kissed as husband and wife. The sun peeked out with a beautiful glow for sunset pictures in downtown Monroe!! I’m so happy for these two and for getting back on my grind from a little hiatus.
Only 24 more hours (ish) until these two sweet love birds become husband and wife! It’s gonna be a hot day and I’m praying for NO rain!!! See you two real soon! 🤗
I’ll be honest, I’ve been a little sluggish lately and not keeping myself motivated. I don’t know exactly why but it seems when one area of my life is going great something else lacks. Rarely is everything on top of the mountain at once. I hope I’m not the only one that happens to. But for right now I’m pushing myself to get back on the grind with some content! 🙃 My best tips for getting yourself motivated and back on the hustle train is to brain dump everything on your mind. Just jot everything down on paper (or word doc whatever your preference), take a break from that and go do anything else, come back and prioritize that list! The most important tip is to chose the hardest thing to tackle first (if it’s something that can be done soon). That way you’ll feel like you can conquer anything and everything else will be a breeze!
