A dreary day today calls for a pretty photo and a quick game! Can you guess how many steps went into creating this welcome sign vignette for A+M’s Boston Public Library wedding? 1. We sampled and sourced the most perfect dusty rose linen fabric 2. I hunted for this antique frame in 3+ different antique stores 3. I ironed and carefully assembled the fabric inside of the frame 4. A+M and I thoughtfully crafted the language and wording layout 4. I dropped off the frame to @mollygracemakes who expertly hand calligraphed our wording onto glass 5. We selected, ordered, and assembled the perfect artist’s easel 6. I carefully packaged, delivered, and set up the sign at the venue on the day of the wedding 7. @sweetannie_floral worked her floral magic to create the Secret Garden vibes we’d been dreaming of 8. I placed in the perfect spot to catch guests’ eye as they arrived, and styled with a couple of vintage suitcases (also sourced for the couple at antique stores to incorporate their love of travel together) If you guessed 8 steps, you were right! There are SO many thoughtfully planned out elements that go into even the most seemingly simple of wedding day design details, not to mention the vendor coordination and collaboration involved. To be honest, I have a lot of favorite parts of each wedding day, but seeing each intentionally crafted and styled design detail come together in its totality, that has to be in at least my top 3 ✨

A little over a year ago, I adopted the KGE slogan “Celebrations that feel like home”. So much more than a tag line, it encompasses everything I love about weddings. The wonderfully thoughtful and intentional personal touches. The family and friends you surround yourself with. The definition of your own vibe and style. Your inside jokes. The cumulation of the life you’ve built together, and the new memories made to last a lifetime. As you move throughout your wedding day, my goal is always that you feel at peace, comfortable, and like every single moment and detail is a reflection of who you are at your core. This week we’re kicking off planning with new couples, taking next steps with existing couples, and revisiting planning with couples who simply needed a break after the chaos of the past year. For all of these couples, the planning we do now will shape their own celebrations that feel like home to them, and the very best part is how magically unique they will be. ✨

It just came to my attention that today marks the five year anniversary of the day I launched Kelly Golia Events, and WOW I’m feeling some kind of magic right now. Life feels almost unrecognizable from what it was then, and it’s not lost on me how lucky I am that I get to do something I love so much. Cheers to the couples and vendors who have made the past five years a dream come true, and to a whole lot more magic to come. 🥂✨

I will never, ever forget this day, exactly one year ago today. Molly and Kevin are a magical unicorn of a couple so it’s no surprise their wedding was nothing but pure magic, too. Every detail felt like home, and every moment felt like an unforgettable memory being made. If I could go back in time and celebrate these two over and over again, you better believe I would. For now, I’m wishing them the happiest first anniversary. I have no doubt it will be a day of magic, feelings of home, and memories being made. ✨ Photo: @jacquelynpotter Venue: @thepreservenh Florals: @bloom.52 Hair + Makeup: @blackroomsalon Design + Coordination: @kellygoliaevents
