Sitting, knitting, listening, savouring... it’s such a glorious day here it would be shameful not to indulge; to steal a late summer afternoon outside with my knitting and a podcast while the offspring potter around, occasionally bringing me news of their various endeavours. I’ve just listened to a CBC Radio podcast ‘writers and company’ with Zadie Smith talking about Intimations, her essay collection inspired by the pandemic/lockdown. She has such a brilliant, insightful mind, and command of ideas and language, and even just her voice is one I could listen to for hours... I highly recommend having a listen. I spent a delightful hour yesterday picking out half a dozen colour combinations that would work for the @westknits #slipstravaganzamkal and you can purchase them as yarn packs ‘off the shelf’ if you’d like. I’ll dye more yarn to re-stock them through the week if they prove popular... . .
