• Claire & Anthony’s wedding was an intimate, yet exceptional celebration of two of the best people we’ve ever worked with. Claire and I share a love for design and fashion, and as you can see, her vision came together perfectly. I was gushing to Nick about the aesthetics all day long and to top it off, we had the most vibrant sunset paired with a perfectly placed parking garage rooftop for portrait hour!! Thank you to all the vendors who made this day possible! We couldn’t do it without you. **Film Coming Soon**

  • We got our family photos back, and I really have no words to justify how much they mean to me. My dear friend, @j.vigilphoto, perfectly documented us in this season. I could never thank you enough, Jaci. <3

  • ✨Dramatic Paparazzi lighting vibes for the win!✨ Think we achieved this look on accident? Nope! We created it with careful intention...

Over the last year, we’ve made the subject of lighting a major focus. This might come as a surprise to you, but most photographers are not well-versed when it comes to indoor and artificial lighting. For some photographers, it not necessary to learn, but for wedding photographers, it is especially important because wedding days bring many different lighting scenarios.

Questions I ask myself in every indoor scenario:
1. What is the mood right now, and what look am I trying to achieve?
2. How many lights do I need and where should I position them?
3. To bounce, or to diffuse? If bounce, where to bounce?

You can count on us to constantly be leveling up in all areas of the experience we provide.

  • Flat lays are one of our favorite pieces of our wedding galleries for several reasons, but if you’re looking to have one included in your wedding gallery, there are a few things you need to know…

1. They take a considerable amount of time to put together
2. The options are endless when it comes to what to include/not include
3. The creator has to have an eye for design

Here’s a few tips to help you and your photographer come wedding day:

-TIME: Being that these take a significant amount of time to put together, make sure you schedule enough room in the timeline. We like to do these as soon as we get to the Bride’s getting ready location, which is usually right at the beginning of the day. Not only does it help get our creative juices flowing, but it helps you photograph everything before the Bride gets ready so you’re not asking her to take things on and off. PROTIP: We include a list of items in our Bride Guide and suggest our couples have everything gathered in a bag, so when we get to the venue, we can just grab the bag and get started. This saves a huge amount of time!

-OPTIONS: As mentioned above, we send a list of suggested items to our couples beforehand, so they can start thinking about what they might like to include in their flat lay/details shots.

-ARTISTIC EYE: Piecing together an aesthetically pleasing flat lay that perfectly highlights each detail is something that takes practice. If you are the photographer, and have a natural eye for design, it will come easier to you, but if you don’t, you can train yourself by practicing at home.
If you’re a Bride reading this, and you want a flay lay included in your gallery, make sure you’ve seen your photographer’s detail shots and like the way they look. It’s also a good idea to cover how important it is to you in your conversations before the wedding.

MORE PROTIPS:
-Place the veil behind the items to create texture
-Use natural light (in every situation possible)
-Break up solid lines with jewelry or other pieces
-Frame with shoes and flowers
-Space your paper goods evenly
