For those who can stay at home, DO IT! You’ve got this! 💪🏻 Let’s all do our part and stay safe.
As we are all adjusting to this new normal, I want you all to know that that isn’t permanent - just an adjustment. When this is all over… 👉🏻You’ll be able to go to game night with your friends and hug all of them 👉🏻Your @target runs will be about finding a new outfit or decorations for your house. 👉🏻You’ll be able to take the kids to a @gobarnstormers game (extra soda and hotdogs, please!). 👉🏻Your 401k will return to where it was before, and then continue to grow. 👉🏻Your children will go back to school, then get to tell you ALL about their amazing day. 👉🏻You’ll be able to go to church and celebrate God, AT church. 👉🏻You won’t mind waiting over an hour for a seat at your favorite restaurant on a Friday night (Oh heyyyyy @decadeslancaster & @luca_lancaster , I see you!) 👉🏻Lysol and masks will be replaced with smiles and handshakes (or hugs!). 👉🏻You’ll be cheering on your favorite pro sports team surrounded by diehards just like you, and lose your voice in the process. 👉🏻You’ll be able to go to a concert at the @fultontheatre or see a play at @sightandsoundtheatres and you won’t think twice about the person sitting next to you. 👉🏻Shopping trips will consist of going to the mall and browsing instead of going to the grocery store to stock up on groceries. 👉🏻Coworkers will seem like family, and you’ll laugh and cry with the people you may not have talked much with before. 👉🏻You’ll board that airplane and go on vacation to somewhere amazing or see your family who you’ve missed dearly. 👉🏻And you’ll honor and remember those who are risking it all to protect and serve all of us during these times. In the mean time, stay safe, stay vigilant, and 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄 (if you can). When life throws a curveball, you can either strike out swinging, not swing at all, or make an adjustment and send that ball into the stands. Let’s make the best of this!
You know what makes me think YOUR home value 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 take a massive hit after the dust settles on COVID-19? 👇 My phone is still ringing. In the last week, I’ve consulted with three different wonderful families regarding the sale of their home, all virtually (ya know, because #socialdistancing). There were lots of questions about how this all shakes out, but the end goal was to prepare them and their homes with a strategy during this quiet period for when the “dust settles” (which it will) and the real estate market takes off. Many of us are stuck at home, with an unknown date regarding when this ends. This makes it the PERFECT time to work on some of those home projects you didn’t have time for before. The buyers are still out there. Don’t let your home’s value be one more thing you worry about! If you’d like to schedule a time to talk about your home and/or put a strategy in place, just send me an email:
💵 It looks like the government stimulus plan will be getting pushed through within the next couple of days, and many of us will be getting some assistance to help! Here's a look at what you might be able to expect 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐒: You'll receive a $1,200 check or deposit if you made up to $75,000 on your adjusted gross income. If you made above $75,000, the amount will phase out up to $99,000. If you made above $99,000 on your AGI, you won't receive a deposit. 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐒: You'll receive a deposit for $2,400 if you made up to $150,000 on your adjusted gross income, which phases out from $150,000 to $198,000. The deposit goes away if joint filers made more than $198,000. 𝐏𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝗪𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐍: If you have a dependent under the age of 17, you'll receive $500 per child. A family of 4 making less than $150,000 in adjusted gross income can expect to receive $3,400. 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: This will be based on your 2019 tax return (if you already filed) OR your 2018 tax return (if you haven't filed this year's taxes yet). You do not need to do anything to receive the money. If you've already set up direct deposit with the IRS, the money should be pushed out in April (could be within 3 weeks). If you don't have direct deposit set up, a check will be mailed to you but it could take longer to receive it.
🧐 I know I've heard a lot of these over the last few days from family and friends, and perhaps you have too. Hopefully there are some useful mindset shifts in here you can make in the coming days to lessen the anxiety and worry!
