• What are you weighing as a blessing or a burden?

This card was one of the first pre-order Oracle postcards that landed in mailboxes today, and I received a DM about the left and right scales. “Just curious if there’s a connection” they wrote.

In this deck there is always a connection - the background, landscape, animal guides, and plants mean something. It’s part of the charm of digging into it - reading through the layers of symbolism to go deeper into the wisdom this bone has for you.

On the left is a moss covered rock. This is influenced by my own background in ecology, as well as the book “Gathering Moss” by Dr. Robin Kimmerer. Moss beings can change an entire ecosystem, from barren rock to a landscape that can sustain a forest. Likewise, you have the ability to create what you need, and nourish yourself (and one another) in places where it may seem impossible.

When you can do this, the seemingly unsuitable substrate of rock is turned into a glimmering pile of pure potential, ready to be woven into your foundation.

From the guidebook:

The weight of repression is a heavy one.

Carrying the energy of physical, mental, and emotional injury is something you should have never needed to do. There is a heaviness to things you were too young to understand, to process, or to be asked to hold.

But the weight of these burdens needs to be measured carefully. Because it is a uniqueness to these events that helped shape you into who you are today.

Take each burden out, and one by one, hold them in the palm of your hand. Stare at their intricacies and marvel at what you thought they were. What meaning you made of them. See their pain-weathered surfaces and allow yourself to connect to the feelings that you may wish to leave buried here at your shoulder.

The courage to own your specific and unique pain is a blessing you give to yourself and a freedom you let loose upon the world.

There is a blessing in your burden. It invites you to feel and understand the truth of your experiences. To know that they helped make you who you are, but they do not mean anything about you. You get to release that weight.

If you’re like me, embodiment doesn’t come easily. At least, not in the “grown-up” world where I sit in front of a screen all day instead of climbing trees, riding bikes or playing outdoors with the neighborhood kids.

But folks, embodiment is EVERYTHING. Why? Because the body is our greatest source of wisdom in this lifetime. It will tell us everything we need to know IF we listen.

However, we live in our minds, not our bodies. And with more distractions pouring in, it’s only getting harder to connect to ourselves.

Which is why I’ve been so blown away by the work of @theashleystinson creatress of Energy Archeology and the Realms of Embodiment - a radical new way of learning to connect with your body. It’s a return to oneself in a whole new way - through the very depths of us.

Check out last week’s @souldrivenpodcast interview to enjoy this amazing interview. Annnnd guess what - her GORGEOUS new Energy Archeology Oracle Deck is on pre-sale!

Who’s getting one? I ammmm 🥳✨ PS swipe for highlights!

  • There are certain books on my shelf that I have yet to get through, because each time I pick them up to read them, I’m energetically activated in exactly the way that I need.

After reading, I’ll get tired. And then like clockwork, an energetic pattern will make itself known to be healed at the next level, or something I’m really *in* will clear and resolve from my body and field.

These books are activators for me. They turn just the right key within my energetic code to bring forth the next level of healing.

The Anastasia series is one of them. The Bone People is another. And often The Gene Keys does the same.

The other day after posting a page from the guidebook of The Energy Archaeology Oracle Deck, I got a DM that said “When I read it is so magical. I can feel the intention in every word. They are activators.” (second slide)

I kind of laughed and felt the immediate “oh, you’re so kind, thank you!” come to the surface.

And yet today, after editing the guidebook for four hours, I felt the tell-tale signs of being activated by exactly what I needed.

Bone-deep tiredness, extreme thirst, the need to be outside in nature.

As I pushed through and kept editing it became more obvious.

Then I laid myself down and proceeded to basically black out for two hours. I don’t actually remember crawling into bed, and waking up feels like I’m in the twilight zone. My eyes feel different. My digestion feels different.

So even though these cards and words have come through me, and I’ve put it all together, I don’t know that I actually recognized it until right this moment.

⚡️This deck is an activator⚡️

Spending time in its presence will change you if you’re ready and open to listening.

  • ✨Reaffirmation and recognition first thing this morning ✨

I love seeing when other people recognize the wisdom in the bones. Either through statements like this, or something as simple as “I feel it in my bones.”

They speak. They hold memories. They are the structure of our foundational energy.

Learning how to listen to your bones is a deepening of embodiment, and something we can all do.

You truly have the answers you seek inside. You don’t have to search any farther than yourself.

The bones know.

  • How the roof of your mouth reminds you to rest

I love this card. Like head-over-heels, butterflies in my chest, love.

I love the subtle messages interwoven in the illustration, clues dropped to take you deeper into the wisdom this bone holds for you.

I also love that this wasn’t supposed to be a card.

I had no intention of making a card for the palatine bone - an obscure bone that surely no one has heard of or even cares about!

But here it is.

Because it’s persistent. As I was creating this deck it kept coming through. Rest, it would say. Find your own pace. Take your cues from deeper inside of yourself. Tune out what you see around you and gestate what’s already within.

So allow me introduce you to your palatine bone - an irregular, L-shaped bone composed of two “plates.” It’s a paired bone that sits between the maxilla and sphenoid bones, but also articulates with the ethmoid, inferior nasal concha, and vomer. This articulation is how the palatine bone participates in building three cavities within the skull: the oral cavity, nasal cavity, and the orbits.

Why the anatomy lesson, you might be thinking.

Well, I’ll tell ya.

Because the anatomy and structure of the bones reveal a lot about how energy flows!

The way energy flows through the palatine bone is unique. Even though it’s situated between an Earth element (maxilla) and a Fire element (sphenoid), which can often create pressure, it doesn’t. Its structure creates space.

As a Water element, the role of this bone is filter and flow, but it does so in a way that reminds us that slow movement is still movement. The pace and energy of this bone doesn’t take cues from all of the bones that it interfaces with. It reminds you that to dictate the flow of energy, you need to be firmly in yours.

The palatine bone rests quietly in its own energy and role: to provide a place to slow down and rest.

This is just the anatomy and energy!
