MONDAY MINUTE | FAVORITE FREE FACEBOOK GROUPS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There is SO much content out there. Content fatigue is a REAL thing. That's why I love the groups below, there is so much digestible info, great freebies, insider info, and helpful hosts!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 | The Legal Paige Community - Paige Griffith of The Legal Paige runs this amazing legal group where you can find tips of the day, ask contract questions, and get the answers to tough legal situations.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2 | Flodesk Insiders - Now this community won't do you any good if you use a different email marketing platform, but if you use Flodesk, this is a must join. Their moderators and experts are SO helpful and continually impress me with their ability to help with tech issues (even really minor ones).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3 | The REFINE Community for Wedding Planners - Obviously this group, run by Amber Anderson, is only for planners, but there is so much value in this group. Planners new and experienced will love the help and insight they get from this community.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4 | Membership & Subscription Site Community by Stu McLaren - If you have any interest in adding either of these pieces to your business, this is a GREAT community to be a part of! Warning, it is huge (over 43,000 members) so things can get lost in the shuffle.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 5 | Dubsado Community - Just like Flodesk, there are amazing moderators and community members in this group giving advice about this incredible CRM. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Obviously there are so many GREAT Facebook groups that come with a course enrollment or a membership site, but in this post I'm just highlighting totally free ones! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Which groups did I miss?
How lucky am I to get to work with such amazing humans? Holly is the in-house coordinator at @innofthe7thrayweddings and she is so fabulous! Holly and I are a unique pairing in that we BARELY work together. I tackle email leads and she assigns me tasks in #asana and I'm pretty sure we talked on the phone once when she hired me over a year ago. But I feel like I know her (and I definitely know her business) so well! I adore my varying clients!
WEDDING SYSTEM WEDNESDAY | SCHEDULE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA This can be so easily streamlined! Personally I use @planoly, but there's also buffer, hootsuite, coschedule, and more! Fill your content buckets, create graphics in #canva, keep ideas in #trello or #asana, write captions ahead of time, keep stock photos in one place and categorized, and this can truly be a breeze for you! Here's the caveat: Pay attention to what's going on in the world and what posts you have on deck. Adjust accordingly as needed. Don't be tone-deaf and always read the room!
MONDAY MINUTE | FAVORITE ENNEAGRAM ACCOUNTS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you know me from this platform or in real life, it's very likely you know I'm obsessed with the enneagram. I love trying to guess someone's type and I'm an 8w7 to a T. I follow so many enneagram accounts, even specialty ones about just my type or Disney, but below are 5 of my very favorites! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 01 | @enneagramandcoffee - I absolutely love her fun lists. One of my favorites was that Type 8 is "the friend we ask to send things back at a restaurant" - guys this has been happening to me since high school and I'm 34 now! She is also the author of The Honest Enneagram which is on my #tbr list!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 02 | @ginagomez.co - My favorite non hand-lettering account. Her thoughts are so insightful and compassionate. She also focuses a lot on self-acceptance and relationships. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 03 | @brushandbarley - Her hand-lettering is so beautiful. Even if you're not into the enneagram, follow her for gorgeous inspiration!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 04 | @chalkandleaves - I love that this girl doesn't back down or pander and I also love her stories! Her work is gorgeous and she does so much beautiful work with color.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 05 | @somewherecreatingstudio - She comes up with the most fun and unique series and I especially love that she puts out all 9 types at once. Most people do it day by day and my impatient Type 8 is always so anxious and excited for my card! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Any accounts you think I MUST follow? Drop your type below!
TODAY ON THE BLOG⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I work exclusively in the Wedding Industry and I get asked why a lot or if I have previous wedding experience. For those that don't know, I was a wedding planner for almost 8 years!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today's blog is taking you through how I became a planner, how I took on my first VA clients, why I stopped planning weddings, and why I LOVE still being involved in the Wedding Industry.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Link in bio.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photo: @britneytarno⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Gorgeous Couple: @b_sagers18 and @abeezy18
WEDDING SYSTEM WEDNESDAY | CREATE A TEMPLATE FOR BLOG POSTS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As a former wedding planner, I used to dread the blogging process. And now it's a task I take on for other wedding pros! What changed? TEMPLATES!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To create a template for your posts, just outline what you want to talk about. When blogging about a wedding day, this would be things like the venue, the weather, the flow of the day, any special details, etc. I also suggest incorporating how they got engaged, why they chose the location, their love story, etc. (and if you're a photographer, you can use this info for their engagement session blog!)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want it even more detailed? Ask questions like their favorite activity to do together or why they chose their wedding venue.
