I remember on my own wedding day this was one of my favourite images. Not because it was the most creative or the best lit but because it was an image of me and my dad just the two of us before the ceremony. Now I try and capture this for my brides in the hope that it will mean as much to them as it did to me.
After a day of rain it was wonderful to wake up to beautiful sunshine for Marianna and Ben's wedding on Saturday at St Mary's Church and Greetham Valley Golf Course. An incredible day filled with love and laughter.
Friday may have been one of the windiest days of the year and been the day where we saw a mass of power outages but that didn't stop Rebecca and David having the BEST Wedding day at Rutland Waters stunning Normanton Church and Rutland Water Golf Club⠀ ⠀ The only rain we experienced was happily when everyone was indoors, not something we were expecting after the thunderstorms at 08:00⠀ ⠀ A HUGE THANK YOU must go to Naomi from Lace and Pearl Bridal Boutique and handmade accessories who saved the day when our brides veil was left at home an hour and a half away, she not only managed to bring the bride a veil at extremely short notice, she managed to get one that was almost exactly the same as the brides original choice !!⠀ ⠀ Rebecca and David, your wedding was truly magical, here are a few sneak peeks just for you. I can't wait to share the rest!!⠀ ⠀ Thank you again to my incredible second Dan McLean⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #normanton #normantonchurch #normantonwedding #rutlandwedding #rutlandbride #rutland #bride #weddingceremony #churchwedding #ido #2019bride #2020bride #mrs #truelove #rutlandwatergolfcourse #veil #oakham #manoloblahnik #somethingblue
To veil or not to veil. A veil can be a stunning addition to your wedding dress but this isn't original reason for brides to wear veils. Originally they were seen as a symbol of the brides virginity. The father would lift the veil to symbolise passing the bride on to her new husband, or the husband would lift the veil and kiss the bride to symbolically consummate the marriage.

I cannot tell you how important it is to have a hair and make up trial before your big day. There would be nothing worse than sitting there on your wedding day and hating your makeup, especially as it will be there to see in all of your wedding photographs as well, there will be no escaping. I would also suggest buying your lipstick so you can top it up during the day. Some make up artists gift you a small lipstick but not all of them so make sure you ask at your trial so you can be prepared and order one in advance. Ladies who are already married and following this page, who did you use for your makeup and where are they based? let's get your recommendations here
