Obsessed with these two isn’t even the right way to characterize it - it hasn’t even been 3 months since Emily and David’s wedding and I’m still so excited for these newlyweds! Even though my shutter was going CLICK CLICK CLICK feet from their faces, they didn’t have any care in the world because all that mattered was their love! And THAT, my friends, is a photographer’s dream ❤️❤️❤️ . . . . . #brideandgroom #brideandgroomphotos #firstlook #firstlookwedding #weddingmoment #weddingmoments #justmarried #justmarried❤️ #fineartweddings #fineartweddingphotography #fineartweddingphotographer #bluestoneestate #bluestoneestateweddings #lancasterweddingphotographer #lancasterphotographer #phillyweddingphotographer #baltimoreweddingphotography #justmarriedphotography #realwedding #realweddings #farmwedding #goldenhour #rusticweddings #rusticwedding #bridebouquet #bouquetgoals #bouquetofflowers #bouquetinspo
And now, for our family room transformation (and you won’t believe how we cut the shiplap around the mantle, SWIPE RIGHT to see the video! ➡️)! As promised, once a week I’m going to take you on a tour of our house and the projects we’ve tackled since moving in! You guys LOVED our bathroom project I posted last week (I’m still getting messages about it!), but this project was done a couple years ago, and is a lot simpler, but totally transformed the look of our family room, all for less than $100! We’ve done a few shiplap projects to go with our house’s farmhouse rustic-chic theme, but we only usually do a wall here and there to really emphasize a focal point of a particular room. In this case, the TV wall and fireplace needed a little “umph” to make it pop, since it would be the most looked at wall in the house! There were a LOT of weird cuts to the shiplap boards around the windows and baseboards, so a jigsaw came in super handy! But by far the hardest part was cutting around the mantle... ...luckily Matt came up with a genius way to get a template to be able to draw then cut around: an index card (swipe right to see the video)! He cut up small pieces of index card, then taped them all together, small piece by piece, until the outline was formed. It’s not perfect, but close enough to caulk (and that’s allllll that matters!). Once the shiplap boards were hung, the nail holes filled and sanded, it was time to paint! We used a basic white for the shiplap wall, then “Repose Grey” (Sherwin Williams color, but we used Behr paint because we like it more!), for the other sides of the wall. We also added some window trim around the windows on either side of the fireplace and it REALLY makes a huge difference! And this project was cheap...like, way cheap! About $20 for the panels used to cut the shiplap planks out of, then ~$75 for paint + supplies. All said, not bad for less than $100! 𝐀𝐥𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 - 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐞! Still dreaming about Kristy’s GORGEOUS red hair and trying to figure out if copy/paste works in real life to transform my own hair to look like hers! DOUBLE-TAP if you’re with me on these amazing #hairgoals!
I *might* be a little biased, but this is one of the most gorgeous group of ladies I’ve ever seen! This #bridesquad was one of my all-time favs, PERFECTLY coordinated from dresses to bouquets, and everything in-between. If you looked up the definition of #bridesmaidgoals, I’m pretty sure this photo would be front and center! . . . . . #bridesmaids #bridesmaiddresses #bridesmaiddress #bridesmaidhair #bridesmaidgoals #bridetribe💍 #bridetribe #bridesmaidmakeup #bridesmaidinspiration #bridesmaidstyle #weddinginspirations #weddinginspo #weddingstyle #weddingstyles #realweddings #realwedding #modernbride #fineartweddings #fineartweddingphotography #fineartweddingphotographer #fineartwedding #lancasterwedding #lancasterpaweddings #lancasterweddingphotographer #stylemepretty #theknot #marthaweddings
One thing I ALWAYS tell folks that I mentor is that no matter where you’re going for a shoot/wedding, and how unfamiliar it might be, you can always find shots that make a spot look totally dreamy! Take Julie and Kevin’s wedding. I had never shot at this golf course venue before in New Jersey, but we were able to sneak away at golden hour and find a little trove of trees that threw the most perfect light, and capture absolute magic! I call that a hole-in-one! ⛳️ So next time you’re worried about shooting locations and finding spots to shoot, or you’re not familiar with a venue, mind your angles (and don’t forget the close ups with deep bokeh!) and you’ll capture some magic happen too!
Something I’ve seen a lot more lately is couples having their engagement session where they’ll be getting married at...and to be honest, I’M ALL FOR IT! It’s so much fun to see them look around and envision their day where they’re standing, picturing all the tables, their loved ones, and of course themselves as future husband and wife! Kristina and Matthew’s wedding next year at @moonstonemanor is going to be amazing! I’m SO excited to be a part of it, and I already have all the 😍😍😍 for these two! Do you ever go back to the wedding spot you got married at? . . . . . #moonstonemanor #moonstonemanorweddings #engagementgoals #marryingmybestfriend #engagementseason #esession #engagementphotoshoot #engagementshoot #paweddingphotographer #philadelphiaengagement #baltimoreengagement #baltimorebride #mansionwedding #luxuryweddingphotographer #modernbride #feyonce #romanticcouples #twirlydress #engagementdress #lancasterpaphotographer #lancasterphotographer #couplegoals❤ #couplegoal #lightandairy #lightandairylove #baltimoreweddingphotographer #dcweddingphotographer
BY POPULAR DEMAND: When Matt and I moved into our house 3 years ago, we knew we’d be making some changes (SWIPE RIGHT to see the change)! Don’t get me wrong, we loved our house, but the color choices were questionable at best and we knew we wanted to make it “ours” by doing some simple and inexpensive home projects to really add some curb appeal inside and out! Every week for the next few, I’m going to take you all on a mini tour of the projects we’ve done, talk about how we did them, and how YOU can do them too! The first one is this project I’ve been posting A LOT about in my stories lately - our master bath! I was pregnant when we moved in and made questionable wall paint choices (I blame baby brain!), so we wanted to tackle this head on and give a facelift to a tired, non-matching room! At first, we went to get quotes on replacing the awful pink “cultured” marble countertops/sinks (basically in every newer home nowadays) with the real stuff. But when the quote came back north of $1,000 without installation, we knew there HAD to be a cheaper way...and we found it! Did you know they make kits now for painting countertops? I was skeptical at first, but we figured we’d take a flier and try it out. Worst case, it didn’t work and we’d paint over it. But IT WORKED! And looks *just* like real marble (look up @giani paint kits). We were nervous about painting the cabinets too, but the kits made it super easy! Just sand, paint, add the top coat (optional) and you’re done! Mostly all the hardware you see came from Amazon (🙏🏻), so it was super easy to match. For the wall, we went with ship-lap accents. We’re no stranger to ship-lapping, as we’ve done several projects with it, so again we channeled our inner Chip & Jo to make this, and guys.... IT’S SO EASY! If you want to do a ship lap wall, I’ve posted a quick how-to in the comments section! This whole project cost less than $300 (plus more for decor), but that’s a whole heck of a lot less than a couple grand! Do you love the transformation? Let me know what you think? Also, what DIY room project are you proud of, what did you do!? ⬇️
If you’ve been following my stories lately, you know I’ve taken on a bathroom reno project, and it’s has been GOOD FOR THE SOUL! ✨ Middle of wedding season...taking on a house project.
