When “let’s take a walk” looks THIS good, you don’t mind smashing your personal records for steps in a day. These two can make anything look incredible!
🎈🎈🎈HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎈🎈🎈He makes 30 look GOOD! Happy birthday to the most amazing husband, dad, and life partner I could ever ask for! Can’t wait for the next 30 years with you babe. Love you @mattmoorewx ❤️
Is it cliché to have your first dance to one of the most popular wedding songs nowadays? No, I don’t think so! When Matt and I got married 5 years ago, we shared our first dance to “Then” by @bradpaisley, which at the time was a super popular first dance song. But that didn’t matter to us. The lyrics are what mattered. It’s the song we both belt out at the top of our lungs when it plays on the radio. It’s the song whose lyrics are printed and framed next to our bed. It’s the song that brings us back to that day, remembering what started it all! Friends! What song did you dance to (or are planning to dance to) on your wedding day!? Comment below! ⬇️🎵
Oh hey 👋🏻, yeah I’m “that” photographer. The one who WILL find a little pocket of quiet solitude for some extra snuggles. I think the world needs more of these little snuggle nook and crannies. I know I promised to highlight some big room transformations (for a small budget) in our house weekly, but the last few weeks have been CRAZY and I haven’t been able to give it time - but I can now! Next up, the dining room! The previous color was a *bold* red that instantly made your eyes hurt, so we had to change that right away. Our whole house has a rustic-chic theme, with pastels, greys, and accent features to tie rooms together, and our dining room was no different! The biggest change was the large wall behind the hutch, so we decided on board and batten, and it was a lot easier than we thought (and CHEAP!). The biggest thing to remember when doing board and batten is to DRAW 👏🏻 IT 👏🏻 OUT 👏🏻 FIRST! You’ll save yourself from so many headaches if you do, as the measurements need to be precise, since the pieces are pronounced enough to be noticeable if even slightly off proportion. The material itself is actually cut strips of an MDF board (again, if you buy from a big box store, they’ll cut it for you!). The width can be up to you, but I’d recommend 3/4”-1” *thick* panels to have some depth away from the wall. NOTE: the panels are heavy, so make sure to bring some muscle with you 💪🏻 Once you draw out your design, mount the outline of the board and batten first with a nail gun (make sure to hit the studs since these boards are heavier than shiplap), then hang the vertical pieces top to bottom. From there, you can measure and cut the pieces to fit horizontally between each vertical strip. Once you’re done, fill the seams/nail holes with wood filler or spackle, and sand. Painting is next, and then you’re done! All in all, the total cost for materials was less than the light hanging in the center of the room ($150)! A cheap transformation that makes a HUGE difference! Oh, and I LOVE adding dried eucalyptus as color accents. The batch over the “Gather” frame was extra from a styled shoot with @petalswithstyle. Love it!
My dream job? Probably quality control taste-tester at @chickfila (so, CFA, if you’re reading this and a position opens up, holler at your girl 😜)! Actually, I *am* working my dream job capturing beautiful couples, amazing families, and everything in between. I can’t get enough of it! But I’ll never forget my FIRST job! Remember that old store in the mall, Limited Too? Yeahhhh, I worked there for years. If you’ve ever worked retail, you know it can be a grind, and there’s 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 quite like preparing for and working during Black Friday. That job taught me how to handle stressful situations, how to talk to people and give them a great experience, and how to anticipate needs before they even happen. Every single one of those things I learned from that minimum wage job I still use today, and for that I am thankful! So friends, I WANT TO KNOW: What was your first job? Did you love it/hate it? ⬇️ Comment below! ⬇️ . . . . . #chickfila #chickfilamoms #ilovechickfila #headshots #unexpected #funnyphotos #funnyphoto #firstjob #myfirstjob #lancasterpaphotographer
