BIG NEWS! š¦ š¦ š¦ Iām moving back home! In less than 2 weeks Iāll no longer be a northern girl. We will be back on the Sunshine Coast. Itās bitter sweet for sure as Iām leaving behind so many great people in a great district to work for. Weāre in the final stages of packing - both at school and home. Iām really loving that I invested in these uHaul boxes because they are all the same size and stack so nicely. āļø In the comments leave me your best moving tip! #funinfourth

š Have you seen this idea yet? Use your Bitmoji to create a āFlat Teacherā for kids to take around the house and help support with their learning. So hilarious! This is not my idea, and Iāve seen several different versions floating around. High fives š to whichever smart teacher thought this up first. #funinfourth

Living that remote teaching life! Today on Zoom Iāll be reviewing how natural resources affect our daily life (part of my Natural Resources unit on TpT) with my kiddos. Itās all thanks to my @hue_hd document camera. So glad I bought this handy tool earlier this year - Iāve really put it to use while teaching from home. #funinfourth

On Wednesday we did one of my favourite activities - a fur trade simulation! Iāve gathered many small items over the years: HBC blankets I made out of felt, string, glass beads, toy guns, fish hooks and more. Students are assigned a role as either an employee of the Hudsonās Bay Company, the Northwest Company or as an Indigenous person of Canada. They then trade beaver fur for objects based on suggested rates. They can barter up or down from there. They love it and I love when I make the learning come to life for them! #funinfourth

Science fair projects all week long in my room! We will present them next Tuesday. I got to share my chemistry skills with one student as we worked with Muriatic acid. He was so thrilled to do some āreal scienceā and I was happy to have the one on one time over lunch. #funinfourth

My favourite part of the explorers wax museum project is the costumes! I love the creative things they come up with. This child used her long hair to create a moustache and beard. š
