Gosh we love this little hole in the wall 💛 it’s where we shared our first meal the day after we met (and my dad totally joined us - I had to be sneaky to give Pete my number! 😂)⠀ ⠀ Yesterday we snuck away from all of the family activities for little brunch date where it all begin with our favorite plus one! 🥰
2 months of loving this snuggly little pip! 💕 Life with you is the greatest adventure, Ellie Grace.⠀ ⠀ pssst - Pete is actually an incredible writer and wrote the sweetest poem for Ellie today. He turned it into a spoken word video and it’s linked in our bio if you want to 😭 + 😍 along with me.
It’s funny. I finally started prioritizing being consistent on here. I wrote up captions for a week, scheduled them out - and then I didn’t post a single one. ⠀ ⠀ And to be perfectly honest, it kinda felt amazing to give our feed the cold shoulder ✌🏼 ⠀ ⠀ As much as we love engaging on here and sharing some of our every day craziness on stories, sometimes you just need a little break from the squares (anyone else?! 🙋🏻♀️)⠀ ⠀ And so this past week has looked a lot more like this photo - slow, intentional time away from our screen, introducing Ellie to some childhood classics 👌🏼 This was one of my favorite books growing up, and it’s pretty much the most fun thing ever to get to read it to our little babe! 🥰 any guesses which book it is?!
Celebrating today and the freedoms we’re blessed to have by soaking up all of the sun + baby snuggles we can! 💕☀️🇺🇸⠀ ⠀ How are you celebrating the 4th?!
This may sound a little crazy… but on Sunday we were planning out our week and started to feel overwhelmed that we DIDN’T have enough to do 🤯⠀ ⠀ We knew we were taking off at the end of this week to spend the holiday with family, so we felt like we should have two jam-packed days of work.⠀ ⠀ So we were TRYING to fill our calendars up more… crazy right?! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♂️⠀ ⠀ Thankfully, we started our Monday off in prayer asking for focus and direction. We both had great mornings of work, then took the afternoon to frolic around the dog park with the fam. That’s when we realized: maybe we need to see these moments as blessings. As God giving us a little “break” from the hustle of running our own business. Of Him knowing SO much better (as He always does) about what we really need. ⠀ ⠀ So now we’re letting go of the entrepreneur-guilt, focusing on what REALLY matters in our business, and getting all kinds of excited about what’s coming next (stay tuned!) 🙌🏼 Time to enjoy a little family time at the beach!
