How many people does it take to back up a 41 foot RV? ๐ณ for anyone following along in our stories, you know it was quite the adventure getting our RV to its final resting place... Yes, we sold the RV and itโs going to live out the rest of its days here because it can never leave this campground after this fiasco ๐ Praise the Lord for the most helpful campground maintenance crew who literally took down a FENCE and all of the campground angels who helped us over the course of the 4 HOURS it took to get this big boy in its spot ๐๐ผ We were joking that the first spot we ever parked with our first RV was the hardest because we were brand new RVers and it was placed conveniently behind a giant sequoia... well, I guess it only makes sense that the last time parking this RV had to one up that! ๐คฃ๐ Stories of the entire experience is live now - grab your popcorn folks, you know the whole campground did! โ๐ผ๐ฟ

This RV is never leaving this campground ๐ฌ ever. I guess itโs only fair that our last time parking this fifth wheel was by far the most difficult right?! ๐คช After 2 years of full time rving, weโre fairly confident in our skills maneuvering this giant rig (side note: anyone else think backing up an RV is like a crash marriage course on communication ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ) That being said... weโve never had to remove a fence before ๐ณ Needless to say, our rv was probably the largest this campground has ever seen and was NOT big rig friendly. Thankfully, the new owners are renting a spot at a shore campground that will essentially be their shore house and wonโt ever need to be moved. They actually donโt have a truck which is why we helped move it down there for them... We have SO much more to share about the craziness of this last trip, but whatโs your guess on how many attempts it took to get this bad boy in the tight tree-lined spot? How many hours do you think it took? Yes, HOURS ๐

Any other non-handy folks out there who love all the Reno/DIY dreams and none of the work?! ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Weโre not exactly the most handy folks out there ๐ so most of our RV Reno consisted of painting the walls (goodbyeeeee brown everything ๐๐ผ), laying down peel and stick flooring, swapping out the gross old (and yes, very brown) furniture and curtains, and adding little details like new drawer pulls. The thing that took the longest in this area was probably finding the right sofa for the space! Praise the LORD for @homereserve because not only was it the only sofa in the universe that was the perfect size for this nook, but itโs also incredibly comfy ๐๐ผ just ask our German shepherds who claimed it as their own 90% of the time ๐ Weโve spent the last few days cleaning out the RV for itโs new family (the slide is actually pulled in in this photo so we donโt take over a suburban street ๐ฌ) and weโre leaving them this pillow on the sofa so their pups + fam can feel right at home! โค๏ธ

Turns out suburbia NJ isnโt the most RV friendly ๐ Our own street isnโt wide enough to keep it parked out front for more than a quick pit stop, so shout out to Jordanโs parents for letting us take over their street/sidewalk/lawn to clean out + clean up our fifth wheel! ๐๐ผ

The only two homes weโve ever owned โค๏ธ๐ก๐ As much peace as we feel about planting some roots in this season, rv life will always have a special place in our hearts. After being full-timer RVers for almost 2 years, weโre getting excited to dream up shorter RV trips with the girls and experience the part-time / weekend warrior rv life for a bit! And maybe even in a different rig... ๐ Starting to plan for our summer adventures โ๏ธ tell us - where should we go?!
