We had our first #zoom all staff monthly meeting today! It was so nice to see everyone’s smiling faces as we continue to work remotely and stay connected. Stay healthy and best wishes from all of us at IPI!

IPI staff continue to work on answering the question – is freeze drying a viable salvage tool for wetted inkjet prints? In this experimental step a variety of inkjet prints are wetted for 24 hours then dried at high temperatures before being analyzed. Updates to follow! #inkjetprints #inkjet #digitalprintpreservation #wateremergency #museumlife #preservation
This offset lithography postcard titled “Desert Sweethearts” was published by Western Publishing and Novelty Company, a popular Los Angeles based publisher of materials for California’s tourism industry. This postcard features a pair of snuggling burros described as “hardy shaggy little animals” by a caption printed on the back. Postmarked August 12, 1949, the writer recounts recent highlights of her trip to California: butter rum ice cream, visiting a friend, and ironing 💕 #valentinesday #offsetlithography #postcard #desert #burro #tourism
