These past few weekends have given me a whole new appreciation for this city! 🌳🌲🌻 We biked both directions on the Humber river trail this weekend and I must say it is one of the most beautiful trails I’ve ever biked on 🚲 On Friday we did 60 km North till we got to clairville conservation area past the damn( which was so cool) Not only were we biking along side the river in a beautiful woods but we also saw a doe and her baby.. here in Toronto! 🦌 it blew my mind, she was probably about 4 feet from us and we saw her twice! It was a unforgettable experience. Growing up in the country I never even came that close to a deer! Then Saturday we took the trail south for a picnic at lake shore and biked down lakeshore then through Roncesvalles doing another 50km! We saw birds catching fish right out of the water, swans, chipmunks 🐿 and so much more wildlife before ending up in my favourite section of Toronto Roncesvalles ! No where else would I be able to have such an amazing experience. I am so blessed to be here and able to do all these amazing things 🙏 If you haven’t checked out this trail you need too! Took some much needed time this weekend to get out and explore a bit 🥰 With this whole pandemic still going on and summer weather here I have been feeling extra cooped up and unmotivated! I miss having bbqs, bon fires, and beach dates with my friends and family 🏖 So Friday we took a 40 km bike ride up the Humber river trail to lakeshore, then down lakeshore, and through Roncesvalles 🚲 We took a break at lakeshore, had a mini picnic lunch and build some Inuksuks! It was so refreshing and exactly what I needed to get my motivation back. I am trying to find ways to get out and fill my need to explore well still following social distancing rules and this now one of my favourite ways! This past week I’ve taken a big step back from social media. I didn’t have a full detox or anything planned but I kinda fell into it and it has been just been insanely refreshing. I noticed the past two weeks I have been on my phone a lot and with the new puppy around I felt like I was falling behind on a lot of things. It just felt like there was NO time and I was definitely stressing about the change of routine a bit. So I got of my phone for a day and WOW... I have way more time then I realized! Putting down the phone as given me so much more time for myself! Saunas, workouts, meditations, facials, reading, and writing were falling to the back burner even though they bring me so much joy! Without these things my stress levels were slowly going up so I decided to chose what was important and take a little break to soak in the puppy well fitting in all my self care activities! I am planning on going back to filming and making content next week but I have really enjoyed a little break.
