New candles! The porcelain of these candles will glow as the candle burns lower in the cup holder. They are a lovely lavender scent in 100% all natural USA made soy wax. This wax is wonderful because you can dip your finger in it and use it as a moisturizer and the cup can easily be cleaned with soap and water to be used again with a tea light or for drinking. I'm excited about these. What do you think? Should I make more?

My pottery making is essentially the art of transforming earth materials into usable and hopefully beautiful objects. For me, this is an opportunity to stay connected to nature and to essentially remember my humanness which is a vulnerable and precious thing. By remembering that the genesis of the materials I use is the awesome earth's crust and core I am humbled and calmed. This little rock, a seeming nothing on a man made street - until I remember it's history and the blessing it is.

Good morning! This summer has included quite a bit of testing in my little ceramics lab. Here are the results of creating some colored grog. This will crest texture and visual interest in my porcelain. It is labor intensive but so it goes when you are a pottery nerd. Beauty sometimes takes effort.

Another custom piece. Inspired by a bowl I had in the shop, a buyer asked me to modify the shape to a wider serving size. I've had many custom orders recently and it is very rewarding. Of course I always make two so I have another in the shop for sale. DM if you are interested. Or stop by if you are in NY. Info in my profile.

Soon it will be the season for lighting candles and getting cozy which means I'm about to make a large batch of my translucent porcelain tea light holders. It has taken me four years to work the kinks out of making these (they are super tricky) and it's been worth it.

These dipping bowls were a commission and so fun to make. I'm inspired to keep up the work in shades of grey.
