• Looking to get adventurous with your seafood cooking this week? Why not try Bailer Shell?

Similar in texture and flavour to Abalone, but decidedly cheaper, this beautiful species work perfectly in a stir fry (a recipe from @seafood_school is linked in our Instagram stories!).

Bailer Shells go well with flavours like bean sprouts, chilli, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, oyster sauce and sesame oil... And like most seafood, they require very little cooking to achieve a nice texture.

  • Many of us are cooking at home more often these days, and it’s always fun to try something a little out of your comfort zone. One of our favourite summer recipes is commercial scallops in the shell: not only are they super easy to make on the BBQ, but they’re already sitting in their very own serving platter... Fancy!

Just add some minced garlic, butter, parsley and a splash of white wine to the scallop shell and put them on the BBQ for a minute, and these are ready to eat!
