When the food is free, plentiful, and a gastronomic party in your mouth (aka delicious), you load up! . A family picnic at my husband's work today and they always pull out all the stops. . Almost everything I loved, but for the things that weren't my fav, I was okay setting those aside. It's so important to remember that when you're eating mindfully, you have the freedom to eat what you love and say good-bye to the things you don't.👋🏻 I left feeling totally comfortable, satisfied, and nourished. . Totally having a moment with these energy bites.😂🤤 Excuse me while I savor these perfectly sized energy bites that just arrived in the mail from @unwrappd. . I'm always on the look out for new snacks and while I love Larabars, these energy bites are chewy and soft and the perfect size for a little pick me up either after a run or just to get me through the work day. Plus, they're made with no added sugar and a minimal ingredient list, just like my favorite bar. . Nothing to see here.😂 Today's salad was 👌🏻. As evidenced by what remains. . Anybody else look forward to their lunch everyday?🙋🏻♀️ No matter what I'm having, it's one of my favorite parts of the day (because, well, food!), but it's also a chance to take a break from what I've been working on and to come back to it refreshed and refocused. . The key is taking a break! How can you savor and really enjoy your meal if you're still working through problems, taking mouthfuls of your sandwich in between writing emails or catching up on the news? . The truth is, over half of Americans don't feel like they're able to take a break for lunch. And about 20% of workers worry their bosses will think they're not hard working if they take regular lunch breaks.😲 . But you know what? If you take a break, you're actually *more* productive and engaged. I've had clients tell me how much less anxious and stressed they feel simply by taking that short 30 minute break. Don't worry, that email doesn't have to be returned immediately, no matter what the rest of our work culture thinks. . Your health matters more and you deserve to thoroughly enjoy your lunch in peace!
