  • First and last day of school. It was both the best year and most frustrating year. We will be eternally grateful for the gift that Georgia’s school is and are so thankful she gets another year there as a SIXTH!!?? grader. And we can’t wait for Crosby to get to start full time kindergarten next year! Our neighbors call him “the mayor” of our street so you can imagine how excited he is to get back to school and start working the crowd. School and the teachers that work there and the friends that sit next to you are invaluable. No zoom meeting, google classroom, or parade (even though so amazing) will ever replace that and while we’re thankful for those technologies to stay connected, we’re ready for next fall when we can resume school the way it’s supposed to be.

  • The weekend was so busy and fun and magically normal feeling that I forgot we had some porch pictures taken last Thursday night. I let them pick out their own outfits with being barefoot as the only rule. And I mean, if Frida and cut off jean shorts are the result.....that’s always a win in my book.

  • We organized a surprise drive by teacher appreciation parade today for Georgia’s two amazing teachers at their houses. So many people came. It was life giving and such a reminder (not that we needed one) of how in love with her school we are. We all cried and we all can’t wait to get back there in the fall. It’s about as close to a perfect place as you can get and her teachers make that all the more true! Georgia and Chris made these huge letters for them and covered them in memories from the year.....things we’ll never forget!! If you’re a fellow GES parent...thanks for coming today and showing up to say a huge thank you to S & A!!❤️
