It’s Mardi Gras time again and this year they are asking ‘What do you rise for? As a gay couple running a wedding photography business we rise for an even more inclusive wedding industry. Here’s a few thoughts from us on what we all could do to make our fab industry even more inclusive: 🌈 Makeup artists - we rise for incredible artists who are making it oh so easy for grooms and non-binary people to feel comfortable asking to have their makeup done for their wedding. We love artists who understand and also represent brides who don’t want “traditional” bridal looks but who do want more androgynous makeup. 🌈 Florists - Flowers are for everyone. We rise for florists who offer groom’s bouquets and packages designed for same sex couples which include two bridal bouquets and/or bridal buttonhole/s. 🌈 Venues - We love venues that offer a space for a wedding party to relax but have dropped terms like ‘bridal suite’ in favour of more inclusive language like the ‘wedding party room’ or VIP suite’ 🌈 Bridal / Suit stores - We rise for brides who can go suit shopping in multiple stores at multiple price points and find a range dedicated to and tailored for women who want to wear a suit on their day and not feel discomfort of the only options available being ‘grooms wear’. Most importantly, we love seeing the lgbtq community celebrated on websites and social media. We love updated forms that don’t just assume pronouns and everyone who embracing gender neutral language. We love hearing the stories of people in love ... not a gay wedding but their wedding. We rise for a world where marriage equality exists in every country on every continent and all love is celebrated freely. As always, we remain fierce advocates for our beautiful queer community and we’d love to keep the conversation going. We’d love to know your thoughts and what your doing in your own businesses to make things more inclusive x Happy Mardi Gras - stay safe this weekend, party hard. Remember there’s no such thing as too much glitter and there’s nothing more beautiful than you being you x

Sweet Kasper - the consummate wedding professional, posing with newly weds e’ry week and loving every moment of it. Always contemplating whether he can eat a bouquet or perhaps some cheese. Adores a good wedding ceremony and always takes a peek over his fence ... happy for a good head scratch from any guest. A very good boy indeed.

As we were taking photos of Renee and Mitch at the iconic jetty at @adamspeakcountryestate yesterday - their beautiful little Narlah came over to see what was happening and this moment unfolded right in front of us ✨
