• ✈️ TRAVELING DURING COVID

If this were a normal year I would be heading to France in two days, but we sure didn’t know what 2020 or 2021 had in store for us.

The decision to travel is one that has inherently more risk than staying home, but for those of us who work in or love travel more than average, it’s a calculated risk we’re more likely to take. But it’s not one that can be made lightly or without care like before.

🤍 I got two covid test before traveling back to Iceland (negative)
🤍 I got tested upon arrival at the airport and again in 5 days.
🤍 I flew @emirates - they did a great job distancing people when getting on and off the plane. All airports also did an amazing job with social distancing.
🤍 I wore mask from the moment I left my home in Bali until being alone at home in Iceland.
🤍 I’m doing 5 days of quarantine.

Only two days into my quarantine we got the disappointing news that Iceland is locking back up. Some new rules:

🖤 10 people restriction.
🍔 Restaurants down to 20 people with seated numbers
🍻No party time at bars or clubs.
👙 No pool time
 🏋🏼‍♀️No Gym time
🏌🏼‍♀️No golf time

I would love to hear your thoughts! What travel do you have coming up? Will you be travelling internationally in 2021!?

  • THE MOST EPIC THINGS I DID IN INDONESIA 🌴

And just like that it’s been five months since I packed my bags and moved to Bali (again). Spending winter in Bali has become my thing, and I don’t think it’s changing anytime soon. Over my time in Bali the past almost two years I made amazing friends, had unforgettable experience and got reminded so many times how thankful I am to call this incredible island my second home.

1️⃣ Komodo Island: many people think of Bali when hear Indonesia. But Indonesia has so many other beautiful islands to discover. Komodo is by far my favourite. The viewpoint the top of Padar Island was breathtaking - I highly recommend you check it out on your next trip to Indonesia ⛰

2️⃣ Rise fields in Ubud - It was a cold early morning drive to Ubud, so worth it when you see the sun rays peek over the edge of the earth and hit the palm trees, that golden light - it’s at this moment when you remember how incredible fortunate you’re in life ✨

3️⃣ Sumberkima Hill - I loveeed north Bali. The drive there is absolutely breathtaking. I was in awe the entire drive. I’ve been wanting to go there for years, and finally Keira and I went on a an amazing girls getaway. Snorkelling in the clear blue water was one of a kind 🤿

4️⃣ Nusa lembongan & Ceningan - just a short 30 minute boat ride from Bali. Amazing islands, and the atmosphere is very laidback and being there feels like you’re in paradise heaven 🌴

5️⃣ Mandala in Uluwatu: Uluwatu quickly became my favourite part in Bali. Staying at Mandala the rock a private villa on a cliff, overlooking the ocean was very special to me. I got to celebrate my 32nd birthday surrounded by amazing group of friends, clear ocean and breathtaking views. We all loved it so much we went back to celebrate Christmas! 💛

Bali, I’m not done with you! This is just the beginning of our very long relationship. We will probably see each other again in few short months 🇮🇩 #balilife

  • FEELS LIKE MILLION YEARS AGO ✨

I remember the crucial moment for decided that I wanted to tap into this creative, travel content creation, entrepreneurship and being my own boss kinda world feels like million years ago.

It’s so crazy to think about where it all started and even crazier to think about all the exciting projects ahead of me. I’m absolutely nowhere close to where I want to be but that’s okay, it’s work in progress. Today, I’m where I only dreamt of being two years ago.

If I could give you one piece of advise it would be to stop pushing off your dreams and goals until tomorrow, until the right timing, until the right circumstances, until “one day”. If you’re always waiting for the right timing, it may never come.

But the day you make that decision to start, is the day you get closer to achieving whatever it is you want to achieve! Even if you don’t know all the pieces of the puzzle yet.

I promise that if you start with where you’re at and what you know today, you will be a lot further than if you wait a few years for the right timing.

So tell me, what are some of the goals you’re going to smash this year?

  • 5 things I do now that I never thought I would do...

1️⃣ Meet up with other creatives I met on Instagram for photography projects, and road trip adventures. Something I love doing today.

2️⃣ Becoming my own boss was only a distant thought.

3️⃣ In my early twenties I would spend all my money on clothing and expensive home ware products where today I spend it on plane ticket, experiences and adventure. Creating memories has become more important to me than materialistic items.

4️⃣ Travel did not only change my life but mindset in general. I’m more open minded than ever before. It’s incredible how many opportunities come knocking when you shift your overall mindset.

5️⃣ I never thought I would consider sustainability as such an important aspect of my decision making and everyday habits but now its something thats extremely important to me.

What has changed for you in the last five years. I would love to know ✨

  • Hello from paradise, backyard I’ve called home for almost five months now. It’s insane how fast time has flown by. Being in Bali during a world pandemic has been an absolute blessing, there’s no place I rather be during this strange time 🌴

I’ve been viewing this scene on screen for years. But that moment when you first see it with your own eyes. When your heart beats a little faster, your eyes opens a little winder and your jaw drops a little lower...those are the moments that keep me inside the adventure.

Anyone else ever have a similar experience around the world? #balilife

  • There is no force more powerful than a women determine to rise 💥

This post goes out to every single women who has ever been in told “don’t” or you “can’t” women get unwanted advices daily like “you should settle down” “and “it’s not safe to travel the world solo” all these unwanted messages creating an image of how a women should behave, do and act.

It took me a long time to stop listening to all these advises. One day something finally clicked, I knew I wanted more and I was done playing small. I left, to travel the world solo where I found my strength, freedom and as cliche as it sound I found myself, I found my purpose. Travelling is where I feel most empowered and free from that pressure.

I am so grateful and inspired daily by the talented and courageous women in my life. You all have taught me so much. I’m inspired to connect with other incredible women on this platform that are moving mountains and are showing up for themselves every single day.

So, for all the girls and women everywhere. You are enough, you are a worthy of success and you can be whoever you want to be, and do you whatever you set your mind to. Block out all the negative noise and go rock your world. Because there is no force more powerful and than a women determined to rise #happyinternationalwomensday #iceland

  • Do I miss having a “normal” 9-5 job?
NO I DON’T MISS IT AT ALL.

We aren’t all put on this earth to work eight hours a day 5 days a week, and constantly look forward to the weekend. While this might be great for some, it wasn’t for me. I always wanted to be my own boss and I can’t see myself ever returning to a “normal” 9-5 job.

Success to me means the freedom to live my life however I want to. It means turning my passion into a full time career, and it allow me to do what I love every single day.

I wake up with so much excitement everyday, looking forward to the day ahead and ready to tackle the projects I’ve going on. I will say though, that sometimes it’s hard to turn off when you are self employed. While that’s a challenge, I still wouldn’t trade it.

I love being able to wake up and decide I want to go on a spontaneous road trip for a day or two, and then end up staying for two weeks. Im not saying it’s all rainbows and butterflies but you can make your own schedule which is pretty damn sweet #iceland

  • DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A FULL TIME CONTENT CREATOR AND REPLACE YOUR FULL TIME INCOME BY WORKING WITH BRANDS AND HOTELS AROUND THE WORLD? 📸

The most frequently asked question I get is “how are you staying at all these epic hotels/villas for free” - I’m not staying there for free. It’s work. It’s content creation in exchange for a stay or paid work. How amazing to be able to call this my work 📸

Here are 5 main things to consider if you want to take content creation full time:

1️⃣Good looking profile. Your profile needs to be on brand, and consistent. Are you posting quality over quantity?

2️⃣Be able to provide a portfolio and media kit. You won’t be able to land paid collaborations if you don’t have an portfolio or media kit to show to new brands.

3️⃣Pitching strategy - You need to know how to pitch to brands. You also need to know how to negotiate because many brands try to avoid payment unless you know your value and negotiate the best deal.

4️⃣Contract - I can’t stress this enough. Always always sign a contract. Believe me, I learned it the HARD way. Sign a contract even if you’re doing a “product to post” collaboration. You always want to have everything in writing. It’s best if you provide your own contract because so many brands do not.

5️⃣ To land another successful collaboration its super important to have past brands testimonials. It will become much easier to land more collaborations, both unpaid and paid.

  • Would you rather have a life full of “I wish I had done that“ or “damn, I can’t believe I did that”?

I believe to grow as a person and stop constantly wishing “I want that lifestyle” you need to take some risks. It’s crazy to think how much our own beliefs hold us back from our dream life. There are so many missed opportunities because our instincts to focus on all the negative outcomes instead of all the positive ones and how opportunities will help us grow as a person.

I used to live for “I wish I could so this” kinda life and I kept looking at so many successful content creators profiles, just wishing and hoping. It wasn’t until I acted on my wildest dream when things started turning around for me.

I invested in online education, coaches and in person social media bootcamp that finally led me to the lifestyle I’m living today. I’m in tropical state of mind 70% of the year. And DAMN it feels so good to say “ I can’t believe I did this, and I can’t believe I’ve been there”.

SO CAN YOU! ✨
Do you want to travel the world and create content for companies, while taking your work breaks on a white sand beach or day off on Tuesdays just bc!? 🙋🏼‍♀️

IF THE ANSWER IS YES - Keep an eye out on a pretty sweet product launching SO soon that will help you kick start your travel journey #iceland

  • Ohh boy, I wish I could fly. If I could choose one superpower, flying would be it ✈️

Before I started my travel journey I was working as a flight attendant for four years, I absolutely loved it. I’ve always loved flying. There’s just something about takeoffs, being thousands of feet in air and landing somewhere completely different each time makes me feel so alive.

I even considered becoming a pilot and started my private pilot lessons few years back, never finished because I was more excited about catching sunsets on the other site of the world 🌅

So, if you could take off right now where would your ideal destination be? #iceland
