Thrilled to have been selected as a finalist at the 40th AOP awards for my series Spiandagan Sneachd.
An ongoing project lamenting the changing environment of the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands, where snowfall has decreased dramatically in the last 35 years. The images are imbued with a painterly, almost dream-like quality and as such they are also a paean to nostalgia and memory, inviting the viewer to explore their own relationship with hope, grief and loss.
The title is a local gaelic term and roughly translates as ‘a few flakes of snow floating in the wind’.
