Ernie the Hornet Giving Day Is Off And Running!
Giving Update:
We're halfway to our goal of 103 donors, but need your help to get there and exceed that amount!
"Then and Now":
As many of you know, Mr. Russ was a fan of all sports here at Hamden Hall. He wore many hats under the pines, including coach, team statistician, equipment manager, and field manager. Mr. Russ took great pride in our athletic fields and personally helped to maintain the fields.
Today, we are grateful to have a beautiful multi-purpose turf stadium and surrounding fields on those same grounds once tended to by Mr. Russ. Our current athletes of all ages have the privilege to engage in sports and physical education at our Beckerman Athletic Center and Skiff Street Athletic Complex as part of their daily campus life. We also love that we can share this space with our surrounding towns and communities!
Remember: a gift of any size makes a difference to our school community and helps us reach our goal! https://www.hamdenhall.org/giving/give-today

The Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team hosted Holy Child for an afternoon match yesterday, winning 16-11. Coach Emily Anderson noted that the team pushed hard on the key plays and caused turnover on the defensive end, which secured the final game win.
The team takes on Kingswood Oxford tomorrow, May 3, at 4:30 p.m. for a dedication game for a foundation called Morgan's Message at the Skiff Street Athletic Complex. Come out and support our Lady Hornets!

Let's Ride!
As part of our Hamden Hall Athletic Program, non-competitive sports are offered to our students as well, such as our Equestrian Team! Under the leadership of Jennifer Manley, the team has been busy learning about all aspects of horsemanship, including bubble baths on hot days for their horses, helping with barn chores, and proper grooming techniques. Practicing and perfecting their riding skills is also a priority for our riders. This year they will also welcome Dr. Lara Gardner to the stables to present on equine anatomy, health, medicine, and how to care for a horse in need. Great job, Hornets! #thehamdenhallexperience #equestrian #equestrainlife #highschool #hamden #ct #privateschool #sports #schoolsports
