Unpopular Holiday Opinion: Eggnog is NOT good! (However, I just learned about eggnog cookies and they might be my eggnog exception). I gotta know- do you like eggnog?! What’s your unpopular holiday opinion?! 🎄 
Give yourself the gift of PEACE-OF-MIND! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know, I know. It's the week of Christmas and trust me- I'm spending most of my working hours frosting cookies and dancing around the kitchen. But if you're tying up some loose ends or putting in a few hours today, I HAD to share this tip: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The end of the year is a REALLY good time to update your contracts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Why? Because it's easy to say to your clients, "We've updated our contract for 2021. Here is the new contract you need to sign..." than to randomly make contract changes throughout the year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ January 1 is going to be here quick, and I don't want you to miss out on this golden window amidst all the hustle and bustle. If anything, just put it on your to-do list and come back to it next week.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE me some Amazon Prime. But as you start finalizing your holiday shopping make an EXTRA effort to support local + shop small. 🥂💫 Instant gratification is great, but supporting dreams is even better. 
Small businesses have BIG hearts. ^^^ At least that’s what I’ve come to believe after working with (and protecting) so many through TLP. It’s no secret that this year has been tough (even devastating) on small business owners and the rally cry to #supportsmall is a reminder we all need. Trade that Amazon instant-gratification and support the... Local boutique. Online shop. Florist. Photographer. Coffee Shop. Restaurant. Artist. And anyone else you can think of who would be PERSONALLY impacted by your purchase. Yes, it’s been a tough year on the small biz world- but I think it could also be a wonderful opportunity for us to make sure we prioritize them once and for all.

Saw a quote that said, "The more grateful I am, the more beauty I see" and I thought that everyone should hear that today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2020 has been hard for so many reasons...and yet when I sit down and reflect on what I'm grateful for? I can find beauty amidst the fear, mess, and pain. We don't have to pretend that this year has been perfect- but I think we DO need to see the GOOD that has come from it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The best part about this year has been growing closer to this guy. While we should be in Hawaii this week having our wedding celebration, we are grateful that we still have each other each and every day. So many people have lost their loved ones this year. That is why I choose to look at all that I’m grateful for around me. I cannot imagine life without this man beside me and even though we are not with friends and family this week or walking down the aisle, I thank my lucky stars that we are together through thick and thin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wishing you and yours a cozy, blessed, beautiful day (even if you're just celebrating with family via Zoom, like us). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
