Happy Father’s Day to two of the best. The kids & I couldn’t ask for more. @chrisswain73
Beautiful day for a ride. @nineranchbrand
When our family lost Aaron in March, not only was it a shock, but it came with a unique set of challenges. Our family needed the assistance of those with specialized training and equipment. Thankfully, the Northwest Arkansas region has such people. . Men and women from multiple agencies with servant hearts and warrior spirits came to help our family. Not only did they come, they diligently searched for multiple days for Aaron’s body in the dark, in the rain, and in cold water with zero visibility. They were cold, tired, and hungry, taking time away from their own families and putting themselves at risk to help ours. They never gave up, and at every turn were more concerned about us than they were for themselves. These are the men and women of Nob Hill, Washington County, Benton County, Newton County Rescue & Recovery, and Arkansas Game & Fish. We will be forever grateful for them and the sacrifices they made so Aaron’s body could be returned to us. . Two of the dive teams involved in the search are made up of volunteers who are responsible to pay for 100% of their own equipment and training. They take time away from their “real” jobs and families to serve families like ours, who need someone to fight for us when we cannot fight for ourselves. We wanted to show our appreciation in a tangible way, and asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a fund so we could lighten the financial burden these volunteers face, allowing them to have the equipment they need to help others in the future. . We never dreamed what would happen when we made that request. Through the generosity of friends, family, and people who never met Aaron, the fund grew to more than we imagined. This week, our family was humbled and blessed to be able to present the Nob Hill Dive Team and Newton County Rescue and Recovery with combined gifts of $18,000. . Thank you to everyone who contributed in Aaron’s memory. He was always a helper and it is healing for our family to help others in his honor. Additional gifts in Aaron’s memory can be given directly to the Nob Hill Fire Department or Newton County Rescue and Recovery.
Thankful we can join our @longhollow family even when we’re not home.
More traveling today. Thankful for family members with extra seats (and booster seats) so we could hitch a ride. And the “cousin” doggies were just as happy to see my kids as they were to see the dogs.
Not quite Texas, but close enough. @rudysbbq
These two... a lot has changed in 8 years, but they really aren’t all that different. #GirlCousins #6WeeksApart
Tomorrow, this guy gets married. He has found a woman who not only puts up with him but I will be glad to have as my sister. This big ol’ family is a wild ride. Hang on tight, @courtni_daily! #LoewerAtLast
#LoewerAtLast, we’re coming for ya!
