Throwback to my horizontal days… For most of October, November and December, I was horizontal. 😣 In addition to feeling physically terrible, it was a mind f**k to understand and accept “being pregnant” as part of my new identity. And to let go of other parts of my identity such as: 👉🏼Someone who is “productive” and “busy” 👉🏼Someone who exercises multiple times a week 👉🏼Someone who “pushes through it” 👉🏼Someone who eats sushi frequently It’s been a nice reminder that I am always evolving. ✨ My identity is not static. It is normal to grieve old identities. And struggle with welcoming the new ones. In the last few years I’ve adopted and shed so many different identities: 🍎A teacher 👩🏻🦱A manager 👩❤️👨A wife 📚A graduate student 👩🏻💻An entrepreneur For now, I’m still figuring it out what it means (for me) to be a pregnant person. And soon I will get to experience the identity of being a mom! Are you giving yourself permission to grow in and out of different identities? What’s one new identity you’ve welcomed or let go of in the last year?

✨ Big CEO Energy ✨ Wearing a jumpsuit, sitting in a bright yellow chair with my fake (but hope to be real one day) little bulldog sidekick. 👆🏼That’s my CEO vibe. Being a CEO or a Leader doesn’t have to look or be one way. ✅ In fact, the more you lean into your strengths and quirks, the more you let your authentic self shine through, the more effective you will be. My approach to leadership development starts here ➡️ ✨ Coaching you to develop your self awareness. Then, to use your unique strengths and personality to build and lead a kickass team. ✨ There is a whole module dedicated to helping you uncover and define your leadership style in my group course! And, I am so excited to share that I am starting to take early applications today. If you’re ready to step into your Big CEO Energy and lead a team confidently, intentionally and efficiently, click the link in my bio to apply!

It’s always a good time to check in on the health of your team ‼️ Here’s why ➡️ ▫️Teams are made up of human beings. ▫️Human beings are constantly evolving. ▫️And thus teams are constantly evolving. ▫️ So what worked for the team 2 months ago, may not be working now. ▫️ Without proactively discussing the health of the team, people may be unaware of WHY something feels wrong. ▫️And that could lead to people making all kinds of assumptions and tensions building, creating a negative team culture. ➡️ I recommend having this type of team check-in once a quarter. But it’s also really valuable any time there is a shift (I.e. COVID moving everyone to remote or a new team member joining). And I’d say January 2021 is the perfect time! 🤗 Especially after the week we’ve all just experienced. 🤯 These are just 8 of many questions you could discuss. What others would you add? 👇🏼👇🏼

Are New Years resolutions out? And intentions / mantras / “words of the year” in? 🤔 I say, do whatever works for you! 👍🏼 For me, I am working on letting go of control. Surrendering more. Trusting the universe. Planning less. So my mantra for 2021 is: 💥Take Messy Action! 💥 I’m committed to showing up as I am. Sometimes *gasp* without a detailed plan. Without an attachment to the outcome. I am committed to SERVING people. I am committed to learning and growing. And I grow the most when I take MESSY action. Before I have ALL of the answers. Before I’ve “perfected” it. Before I feel “ready.” What are you committed to this year?

2020 has been a year. Without the every day distractions of our “normal” lives, we were forced to spend more time being with ourselves. 2020 was a challenging year, but also full of so much growth. So instead of setting big resolutions or intentions for 2021, today, on the last day of 2020, I’m reflecting with these 10 questions. If you’re comfortable, I’d love to know your answer to one of the questions in the comments! (I’ll share some of mine in my stories later today). Sending love 🧡
