• I still get asked all the time how I went from being a lawyer this soulpreneur, as if it’s the craziest life change someone could have made

to me, it’s never been that strange but I get that it seems like a big departure

the truth is, I’ve always been really drawn to all things soul. I started exploring tarot when I was 16, got my first crystal when I was 7, manifested my way into my top choice law school, and have been journaling for most of my adult life

AND... I also really love being challenged, working with people to help solve real problems, and analyzing legal frameworks

I used to wake up early when I worked in law to meditate, journal, read from a course in miracles, and set my intentions for the day. It was indispensable in helping me show up for my life with true happiness and ease

I would spend an equal amount of my free time going to meditation sits and spiritual film festivals as I would going out for drinks with my friends or going down the rabbit hole of makeup tutorial YouTube videos

Now in my work that’s very soul-focused, I still leverage the side of me that’s strategic, analytical and can spot patterns

It’s always been both - the human and the spiritual. The soul and the “real world”

This is why I get so passionate about teaching women - from lawyers, to coaches, to digital marketing gurus, to sales managers - how to integrate these soulful tools into their lives in a way that they don’t have to exit their lives

I want you to be able to feel so connected to your intuition WHILE on a big work call

I want you to pull your oracle cards to help in making a decision that’s overwhelming you

I want you to meditate to help you show up with more LOVE and compassion toward those in your life

I want you to journal every day to stay connected to your feelings and keep your mind clear EVEN when your job is really demanding and stressful

I don’t want you to change the way you speak or dress, or who you are, to become “spiritual” or connected to your soul

I do, however, want you to have the option of using these tools to help you live in a way that’s more authentic, more peaceful, and less stressful

Soul school is open - you should join ❤️

  • Have you had someone keep popping into your mind lately?

Maybe a friend you've lost touch with, or an ex.

If you've had someone keep popping into your mind, or been reminded of them over and over again recently, then this week's message is for you.

When someone keeps popping up for you, it means there's likely something for you to explore.

Our soul sends us messages through "signs" where we will see reminders of something, "seeing" where we see images in our mind of past memories or visuals, or "sensing" when we get this internal nudge to think or feel into something.

Sometimes it's something left unfinished.

Other times it's because you are meant to reconnect with them.

Or other times it's because there's something from the time in your life they were around that's significant for you right now.

The cool part, I always think, is to be able to sit and reflect in your journal about why you think this person is coming up for you right now.

In my own meditation practice, I've had a few people from the past keep entering my mind in practice in the last week.

They're three people who entered my life for different seasons and stages, but since that time we drifted apart.

It seemed so out of left field to think of them, but I couldn't ignore that memories of them kept popping into stream of my thoughts last week.

This is how my soul or intuition usually speaks to me, so I knew to pay attention.

And so, I did what we all do, and I went to see what they were up to.

What I discovered were that all 3 of them had deleted me from social media!

At first, that stung.

I created all sorts of assumptions on why they might have done that, and then decided that assumptions never help and to turn the attention toward processing and releasing what was mine to.

I needed to instead just sit with that pang of sadness that there were once people in my life that were so special to me who were only meant to be in my life for a season.

Then I went ahead and did my whole PROCESS that I use when people from the past that keep popping up to help me move through it that I wanted to share with you tonight (see five steps below!)

  • staying motivated RN is hard? isn’t it? I’ve gotten countless DMs asking about how to stay motivated

Here are a few helpful tips:

1. Stop thinking everyone is motivated and you’re not. My energy moves in cycles, and so do most of ours. We go through periods of inspiration and periods of recuperation. The person you’re seeing who seems highly motivated might have just had a season of stillness, or is about to burn out. Don’t compare yourself to others and honour where you’re at

2. Make intentional choices. We can still feel empowered when we are aware of what we’re choosing. You’ll feel different if you want veg out and binge watch tv because it’s out of habit versus thinking “this is actually the best choice for me right now, so I’m going to fully embrace it and enjoy it.” get out of autopilot and be aware of the choices you’re making. if a choice feels right to you, even if it produces “nothing”, embrace it. without guilt. eventually your energy will be stoked again

3. Don’t force yourself to bloom all season. You are beautiful flower 🌺. You aren’t meant to bloom all year long. Trust the season you’re in. Blooming season is when our motivation is highest, and sometimes we’re just the seed needing to be incubated. In the dark. Courageously moving forward tiny bit by tiny bit

3a. If you’re living in winter, at home, alone more often, embrace WHY that might be happening for you and what might need to be honed, developed, tended to or incubated in your life at this

4. Make your actions forward laughably small. I really think that the reason I stay motivated is because I make the bar I have to cross super low, so there’s no excuses and then I feel empowered when I do the things I said I would. If I have more motivation, I do more. But only IF. You can always do MORE but you haven’t put that unnecessary pressure on yourself

5. Meditate. It’ll clear your head and help you focus on what’s important instead of getting overwhelmed with an endless to-do list

6. Human are motivated by avoiding pain or receiving pleasure. Motivate yourself by thinking of what you’ll do to celebrate yourself after certain milestones (and yes - this can be done at home)

  • the face when... one by one I watch women change their lives, own their worth, align with their purpose, and embody their authentic selves

tonight metamorphosis 🦋 officially begins and there is one spot left if you are a woman looking to actually stay on track, grow in massive ways, and have the support, coaching, guidance and positive community to help you build out a life you love

right now most of us are lacking social connections, and one of my favourite parts of this program is the opportunity to regularly connect in with a group of incredible women who know you, your story, and are supporting you in whatever you’re doing

it’s a built in social incubator and it never ceases to make me beam as I see all the friendships that get confirmed in my programs, but especially this one because you’re all in it together for six months!

if this is what’s been calling you, you have t-minus 12 hours to nab the final spot

the coaching call times (you drop into one a month) are 11-12, 2-3, 5:30-6:30, or 7-8 EST so lots of options

you’ll also have a “social” night once a month that you can drop into that’s a high-vibe book club

lastly, you’ll be guided through six modules over the course of six months that are designed to help you get unstuck, clear, focused, energized and aligned with your soul

while you work toward your six month vision, you’ll also work through the themes of:
🔮 visioning and foundational rituals
🔮 high performance habits and amplified productivity
🔮 embodying your most goddess self and activating your feminine power
🔮 releasing, letting go and shedding the past so you can rise into next level you
🔮 learning to surrender, trust and flow with the universe to support you
🔮 becoming, truly, your most authentic self and building out a life you love
🔮 accessing and owning new levels of love, wealth, health and magic in your life

Can’t wait to start!!!! The next time this program is offered isn’t until June! DM me any questions 🥰🥰

  • new moon 🌙 thoughts

breaking down old patterns. of doing. of pushing forward when it’s not time. of only embracing rest when the world feels too heavy. of trying to make things happen during times that are intentionally spacious

Capricorn is a the mountain goat - the goal driven, responsible gatekeeper of the zodiac - what does she have to teach us about the nature of work?

in the past, working “hard” was glorified

often coupled with the idea that we can only get closer to our goals or visions by working relentlessly toward them is what’s been unravelled, I think

there’s an opportunity right now to remind yourself that growing as a person and working toward a vision you’re excited about doesn’t require you to be working all the time

It doesn’t require more hours from you than feels comfortable, and it doesn’t require to try and move forward with a strategy or fill the space when your soul is guiding you to enjoy some spaciousness while new ideas are birthed through you

this isn’t about being passive: not at all

but it’s about noticing the ways you might trick yourself into thinking your dreams won’t come true unless you work more/harder/push forward/execute

I’ve been catching myself in this old pattern again lately too.

in law you have to bill your hours which means that every 6 minutes of your time needs to be accounted for. The more hours billed, the more you are rewarded

Extricating myself from that mentality has been a practice

Some good questions that help me with this are:
⭕️ do I equate working more hours with greater success? is that true? where are examples of this not being true?
⭕️ do I think that in order to have the things I want, I need to work harder and harder for them?
⭕️ do I wear my hard work as a badge of honour? does that serve me?
⭕️ what would it look like to work smarter and not harder?
⭕️ do I think I’m unworthy of the things I desire unless I have worked “hard” for them?
⭕️ am I trying to “do” or “make happen” instead of sitting with the spaciousness of the unknown?

Happy new moon journaling ⭕️❤️

  • Start before you’re ready 🌙

Do you have any idea of something you want to do? Maybe you’re longing to write, to take a lead on a project, to coach, or to start sharing more about your love of holistic nutrition.

We’re always being called to express, to evolve and create more, and yet most of us stifle that flow because we aren’t “ready.”

Ready is a lie.

You will never be fully ready, you just have to start.

Start in a way that feels manageable to you.

This should feel like an “edge” - but in a way that you know could actually do it.

Start small, but start before you’re ready.

You don’t need another training, another course, or anything else to be ready. You just need to start.

Trust that if you ARE supposed to have more training, that will become clear to you and you’ll be guided to it when it’s time.

Here's an example for you...

When I first started teaching meditation, I wasn’t ready.

I had been self-taught, and while I was equipped with a lot of knowledge about the subject and had a deep personal practice, I didn’t have any formal training.

Nevertheless, I was really inspired and wanted to teach, so I started anyway.

I reached out to a bunch of law firms to teach a meditation workshop and was rejected by them all.

I pivoted next to gyms. I figured they were open to supporting others with regard to their health, and thought that might extend to mental health.

I reached out to a few and got a yes from one: a local barre studio that I’m pretty sure just said yes because I had been a loyal client.

They let me have a practice run of the hour-long workshop I pitched.

My first time teaching was to their teachers. They gave me helpful feedback and I then had the confidence to lead a workshop for their members the following week.

A couple of weeks after that I was on a retreat my friend was co-leading. The coach leading the retreat found out I loved meditation and had just taught my first workshop, and invited me to lead a meditation for the retreat group...

STORYTIME CONT. in comments ❤️
  • when I was in University, I used to leave to go to yoga to arrive half an hour before class. I would be the first to put my mat down, and would lie there, alone, in the studio as other students slowly trickled in

Those 30 minutes before class were my solace. I was meditating but didn’t think of it as that at the time. It was just my time to press pause and collect myself

Over the years, my practice evolved. I eventually learned to meditate more “formally” although I don’t believe in rules when it comes to meditation. From there, I started journaling to reflect and unpack the things I had thought about in meditation. I eventually started to hear my intuition speak during that time and would get clear messages on exactly what I needed to do next, and then incorporated oracle cards to give another perspective

I love that over the years these tools, these portals back home, have been available

Today I spent a long time back in practice. I’m in a “winter.” Outward - yes, it’s winter. And also - inward. In a winter season we’re meant to spend more time in quiet contemplation, tending to our light, waiting for clarification and inspired action to come through

I’ve been pulled back to deepen into my meditation practice - the place where it all began - a lot more lately

And every time I’ve been closing my eyes it feels like coming home and I find it interesting that I was pulled away from it for so long

I’m having a renewed love affair with my meditation practice. I’m deepening back into my spiritual connection in a way that feels really good again, and I’m sharing this because maybe you’ve never mediated and are curious, maybe you’re in a season of not wanting to meditate because the old ways you did it don’t resonate anymore, maybe you’re getting consumed by comparison or fear because our world has so much going on right now that you can’t anchor into yourself, or maybe you’re in a space where you feel like your soul is starting to speak to you and you really want to listen

If any of that’s you - meditation can be magic. Truly. Try it.
