Looking for ways to help out in the New Year? We can always use donations, and it's an easy way to make a difference! We would love peanut butter, dog toys, milk bones (of all sizes) for the dogs. As for food, we feed our dogs Adult Science Diet (dry) and Puppy Science Diet (small bites). We also need clorox wipes, swiffer wet cloths, zip lock bags, carpet powder, small and large trash bags, paper towels, hand sanitzer, and bottled water for our volunteers. We also accept gently used towels, linens, leashes and collars! You can also help by volunteering, fostering, and washing laundry for us! Call us at the Adoption House to learn more! 225.239.7368
Looking for a gorgeous and amazing athlete to be your running buddy? Sweetie is all that and a loving snuggle buddy too. This girl has languished at the shelter for far too long. Yesterday she lucked into a short term foster home and was quiet as a mouse in her kennel keeping it clean and dry all night long, so things are looking up. Sweetie is smart, attentive, loves children, knows sit and collapses at the thought of a belly rub. She can also leap tall buildings in a single bound so she would make an agility master (but forget about leaving her in your fenced yard because hahahahaha). Her ideal person will exercise her every day, kennel her when they are at work, and take her to obedience classes and socialization at Fleur de Lead. Does this sound like the girl for you? If so, please come meet her at the adoption house today through Wednesday and get your workout on together. — at Fleur de Lead Dog Training, LLC.
