You want to know the secret to the infamous BROKE TO SIX FIGURES line that you hear all the time?! Pull up a seat, I'm going to break it all down for you sista friend. We're bringing it back to 2018: I had no audience. No one knew me but I did have experience (I had been in the coaching industry since 2008). I knew what I was doing so that was my advantage. Getting in front of enough people was my number one goal. New coaches like to hide in the busy work of writing posts and working on the website thinking that if it looks good then the people will come. WRONG. You've got to build the audience. No one wants to hear it. BUT IT WILL MAKE YOU MONEY SO LET'S GO!!! 2018 I spent SIX MONTHS - January to June pouring everything I had into audience growth. I didn't launch, I didn't promote.. I GAVE FREELY. I coached people for free in FB groups I offered free advice - I gave the answers I posted every day I went live several times a week in FB groups, my profile, Instagram etc I posted videos so new people could hear me and see me I gave free trainings, webinars and PDF guides I gave it all away. I engaged on my ideal clients profiles. I followed them, sent friend requests, liked their posts, left genuine comments if I felt called, watched their stories. I networked with other coaches and thought leaders. I did it every single day for six months. Guess what happened? People were droooooling. My engagement was ridiculously high. I could go live and get hundreds on a video. I could make a single post and get hundreds of likes instantly. By the time I opened my coaching in July my income skyrocketed from a $2,000 month in June to contracted sales $48,000 in July. All with an audience of 3,000 people. I continued to make consistent $20k plus months after that. It's a lot of work but it's easy if you love it. You show up with no agenda. You pour you heart out. You do it consistently. You put in the work to grow your audience. That's it. But most don't have it in them to do that without support. Fear gets in the way. That's where coaches come in. To help you overcomes those things and show up like the legend you are deep down.
MY PARTING WORDS: My client asked for parting words on her last session with me. On the spot I thought of what I want her to know long after she works with me. I said, you know that moment when your own client came back to you and said wow, I get it now… she came home to herself, she grew and she thanked you for guiding her? That moment when you cried and this all made sense? When every shitty hard moment in life has led up to this being your purpose in life? Hang on to that. Never let that moment go too far from your brain because you’ll need to bring it out time and time again. Here’s what I know.. 12 years ago I knew a lot of people in this industry and when I came back in 2018 I thought, omg I’m ashamed to show my face, they all know I left and how shitty I was etc etc. but what I found was 99% of those people weren’t here any more. They left for whatever reason.. too hard, realized it’s not what they thought, life went in other directions.. But I was here after all those years. So I look around now at this industry saturated with even more people trying to make it big and I know that 99% of them will not be here in another decade. Most won’t make it another year. But I will be. So in those moments where I want to compare myself or think I’m going too slow or feel like this is impossible, I remember that I’m in this for the rest of my life. I will coach until I die. This is my life's work. I want to continue repeating that moment with my client until there are no people left in this world needing what I can help them with. When I think long game.. the time doesn’t matter, the money doesn’t matter, the hype and the fame doesn’t matter. It comes down to helping one another. Comparison and fear dies when you shine a light on the real reason you are here. So hang on to the real reason why. All the other bullshit will fade away when you hang on to what’s real and what’s true. Ignore the noise online. Focus on yourself and the people you are here to serve, nothing else. xoxo Court
The 3 things that will kill your business if you don’t work on them now: ONE: NICHE. Choosing a profitable niche. You need a product or a service that solves a specific problem of a specific type of person. There are too many people in this world for you to market to all of them. Consumers want to buy the best and the best are specialists in their industry. Pick yours wisely. TWO: CONSUMERS. Where are the people that will buy your offers? It’s not enough to write a post and log off for the day. You’ve got to go out and find these people yourself. Never underestimate how important it is to constantly be working on expanding your reach to your ideal clients. THREE: MINDSET. You can be your greatest asset and your greatest sabotage. Make sure you are constantly checking yourself to stay healthy, aligned and emotionally stable to handle the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. You are so much more than an average coach. “Coach” doesn’t even begin to explain what you are capable of doing. Your clients know it, your friends know it and you know it. But the thing is, Coach is what people are looking for when they search online. In order to be found by your ideal client you can’t use your fancy terminology that strokes your ego because your people won’t find you and you’ll just be a (insert cool title) Coach with no clients. We want you to be effective and help people. You do that by being basic and direct. I’m a Business Coach for Coaches teaching marketing strategies. I help coaches get clients and make money. SNOOZE FEST, right? It’s like okay, she’s legit, I get it. But no, it’s not sexy. This is one area where sexy ain’t selling :) Think of it this way, what would your ideal client type into a Google Search she were looking for someone who provides your type of coaching? I highly doubt is the exotic, fluffy term you might want to call yourself. In the case of a Business Coach, someone might type in the phrase Business Coach, correct? Same goes for life coach, health coach, fitness coach, career coach, anxiety coach, marketing coach etc. You get what I mean, right? So, while using aspirational terms or phrases like Helping women unlock their desires and live their best life might sound great, nobody is typing that into Google, Facebook or Instagram search bar when looking for a coach to hire! What’s your official coach title? I want to know!
