THANK YOU 2019 🌟 I’m not gonna lie, 2019 was rough. I lost my best friend 🐾, dealt with the grief of my grandmother’s passing and family/friends moving away. But in all that I experienced so much light. I met my first class and had 28+ angels teach me to smile again, became a godmother to the best godson in the world, gained new family, started my dream career and met another 29 new stars. ✨ Lots of sad and happy tears this year and I’m thankful for both. I already know this year will bring even more of those moments. 💖 Thinking of all of you who may have a hard time reflecting on this year too. Wishing you all the best, many blessings & sending lots of love! 🥰
Helpful reminder not to stress during this crazy time in the year. 💗 Plus, this post contains the word “mija” which makes me think of my kiddos. 😊 #YouGotThis #OneMoreWeek
Happy Halloween 🎃 & Feliz Dia de los Muertos! 💀 My makeup eventually melted, I cried in front of my kids during Coco, the room was a mess, but I made it! Plus we did candy STEM, ate pan de muerto and made sugar skulls. 👍🏽 Loved celebrating and learning about these holidays with my 6th graders! ♥️
This way of thinking. 🙌🏽💗
I’ve been super MIA lately but I deserve a #feetupfriday for making it through my fifth week as a “real” teacher, of 6th graders no less! 😄 Happy Friday the 13th y’all. We made it. 👍🏽💗
My heart is heavy today, but all of this madness is motivating me even more to create an environment that all my students feel safe in. 💗 I’m so excited to meet our little family, have tough discussions, cry, laugh and grow together.
Needed to share this from @sarahplumitallo. I have no other words. I’m so heartbroken and pissed at the state of this country.
These additions to the room are making my teacher heart so happy. 💗🙌🏽
That teacher episode of @queereye y’all. 😭🙌🏽❤️ (📷: @stacieswift)
