Mill Valley School District schools and the District Office will be closed tomorrow, Friday, November 16, due to ongoing concerns regarding air quality both inside and outside of schools and offices. Districts across Marin County will be closed tomorrow, Friday, November 16. The air quality in the Bay Area has remained at red levels (unhealthy) throughout the week and the ongoing conditions have also contributed to the progressive deterioration of air quality indoors. We understand that closing schools places a burden on some of our families, and we want you to know that we have given this decision careful consideration. All school sites will be closed for Thanksgiving Break and will reopen on Monday, November 26. The District Office will be open in a limited capacity next week Monday through Wednesday, November 20th through 23rd. Thank you and we wish you all a restful and happy Thanksgiving week. Our thoughts remain with our neighbors to the north for whom this tragedy continues to unfold.
Mill Valley stands united against hate! Join us this evening at the Mill Valley Community Center, 7pm, for a screening of @notinourtown “Light in the Darkness,” a film about a community’s response to a hate crime, and take part in a discussion. There will also be a panel of @tamhighschool students discussing race. We welcome all community members to be a part of this conversation.
