Listening. Learning. Supporting. #blackouttuesday
GET YOUR MIND RIGHT! I had the opportunity to pre-read @todddurkin new book, Get Your Mind Right which releases this upcoming Tuesday. I have to say that if ever there was a time that we need this book and the wealth of reminders in it, is now! Mindfulness has become a hot topic in recent years. Everyone seems to know it is important, and you may even have a hack or two that works for you. @todddurkin (TDs) book looks at 10 different key concepts to ensure your mindfulness is on point and you Get Your Mind Right. It is filled with meaningful personal stories that make the chapters fly by and reinforce the concepts for each of the 10 key concepts, many of which we implement in the @trainerinyourbackpocket program! Pre-order your copy today so it’ll get to you ASAP when it releases on June 2! You’re definitely going to want a pen and a highlighter out for reading this one! I am so grateful that TD has been my coach and mentor for several years, and I am so proud of his new, authentic, vulnerable book! Go get a copy today! #getyourmindright #getyourmindrightbook #todddurkin #mindrightmaniac
I’m so excited to announce the new membership bonus that’s being included in all Trainer In Your Back Pocket memberships starting June 1! This is the fruits of my labor these past few months of quarantine. I’ve been learning how to practice and teach Tai Chi in a relaxed, non-judgemental, “feel good” format and I can’t wait to share it with you. It’s a great way to slow down and let your nervous system rest amidst a crazy external (and internal) world. Join our tribe and let’s make the 2nd half of 2020 an amazingly healthy experience from the comfort of your own home! Message me for info on joining the tribe! #trainerinyourbackpocket #taichi #slowdown #womenswellness #homefitness #bettertogether
My daughter’s chosen hiking attire is my constant reminder to stop giving a crap about what others think of me. (Which is sooooo hard, it seems!) She’s happy as a clam in her Moana night gown over clothes because she only cares about love and being happy. She’s not afraid of how society will perceive her. Who else needs this reminder today?
TRX💪 and TAI CHI 🙏 The past 2 months of quarantine has been a juggling act. It’s been a balance. Having two parents working from home, and a little one wanting 24/7 attention has not been simple. But I’m proud of the fact that I took the opportunity to acquire not one, but two new skills and certifications to improve my coaching for TBP members. Tai chi and TRX are my new skills to bring forward with me. Totally different training techniques, but I’d get bored just doing one modality all the time! It’s all about the balance. The yin and the yang. What have you done to expand your toolbox of knowledge and skills during quarantine? How are you finding balance?
Creeks are fun. But we miss the pool. 🏊♂️ #quarantinelife
Another day, another Napa Valley hiking trail to discover. Today we ventured to the forest in Angwin, CA which is on top of Howell Mountain, where some of my favorite Napa Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards are found! There is a great trail system that is part of the Pacific Union College and it’s now open to the public! Great trail markers which also provided today’s “homeschool” lesson in numbers!
Just in case pools remain closed this summer, I’m starting to check out some of mother nature’s pools! 🏊 #napavalley #hiking #moorecreekpark
Check out two “new” moves coming up in our May TBP workout plan! You’re going to love the upcoming 5 minute workouts in May, because gosh, even though we have “more” time being stuck at home, it somehow seems like we have less!
