  • Took my baby on an adventure for her 2nd birthday. While hiking, and without prompting, she burst out with her own #blacklivesmatter protest.  It was a 3 person march in the middle of the forest, but nevertheless, she wanted the world to know.

I originally did not intend to share this letter publicly, as I wrote it in my journal to share with my 2 year old when she gets older. But something compelled me to share it, so I linked it into my profile. You can read it there. I want her generation to “get it” unlike my generation and generations before. Eliminating racism has to start in the home. People are not born racist. They learn it, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

  • My daughter’s chosen hiking attire is my constant reminder to stop giving a crap about what others think of me. (Which is sooooo hard, it seems!) She’s happy as a clam in her Moana night gown over clothes because she only cares about love and being happy. She’s not afraid of how society will perceive her.

The past 2 months of quarantine has been a juggling act. It’s been a balance. Having two parents working from home, and a little one wanting 24/7 attention has not been simple.

But I’m proud of the fact that I took the opportunity to acquire not one, but two new skills and certifications to improve my coaching for TBP members.

Tai chi and TRX are my new skills to bring forward with me. Totally different training techniques, but I’d get bored just doing one modality all the time! It’s all about the balance. The yin and the yang.
