We're excited to re-shirt five Alumni Lifers from our Class of 1998 at this Friday's Lifer Shirting Assembly and will be highlighting each one in the coming days. This 40-plus year tradition of recognizing those students who spend 13 to 14 years within our halls is exclusive to our community and worthy of celebration. Today we celebrate Megan Brownstein Rutstein 1998.

Please take a moment to learn more about the history behind our Lifers' Shirting Ceremony and to view a list of Lifers to date:

    Digesting Knowledge!

Grade 7 students replicated the fascinating (but sometimes gross) processes of the digestive system. From stockings to chocolate syrup, they used various materials to represent the different interactions the food would have as it makes its journey through the body.

Magnetic Pull to Learn! Grade 5 students have been immersed in the world of magnetism during science classes with Mr. Jewett! The class welcomed Dr. Hashini Mohottala, associate professor of physics at the University of Hartford and proud Hamden Hall parent of freshman Rav Karunarutne, to share her knowledge and excitement for this field. Students explored the different types of magnets and their properties and discovered how magnetism works in the real world!

Music to Our Ears! Our Lower School musicians recently treated their family and peers to a beautiful concert. Members of the Band, Strings, and Singers and Ringers showcased their musical prowess and hard work with a variety of medleys. Editor's Note: We love that our students learn to play the handbells at Hamden Hall! Visit our stories for a video!
