Last year I laid in bed for like... 3 months. (I honestly can't believe I'm sharing this, but it's so important to know.) The shut downs brought my mental health to a breaking point. My business became non existent. My relationship crumbled. So I flew home to Texas.... and didn't do much for months. I contemplated moving home for good. I talked to friends in LA about moving there. And...I thought about quitting photography all together. I even cried after location scouting one day and told my friend, "I can't do this anymore." We sat down and came up with a plan for me to enter the corporate world. But I kept being reminded that I have found the most success right when I wanted to quit. So I said, I'm gonna give this one more go, and I'm going to follow my heart at every move this time. I niched down even more, started marketing heavily again, and the bookings started rolling in. On top of that, my coaching program The Game Changer Academy sold out in a few days. Now I'm sitting in my high rise apartment overlooking the city in Honolulu, I'm walking distance to the beach, and I'm looking at what is going to be my most profitable year in business. I brought 2 assistants and 5 associates onto my team, and we are ready to kick ass. I don't share any of this to brag. I share this so you know that: 1. Success is often right around the corner when you want to give up. 2. It's okay to give yourself mental health days, as long as you get back up. You are just cocooning, and you will come out a gd butterfly, sister. Leave a 🔥 if this got you fired up today, or tag someone who needs to hear this!!

Is an adventure session right for you? If you think you aren't "in shape" to reach some of my favorite views on the island, think again! I offer two types of adventure sessions. 1. The "light adventure" We are able to get an insane view with very minimal effort. This is a great option for those who don't want to work up a sweat! I even have a great waterfall option. 2. The "full adventure" We definitely put in some work to reach epic views, whether that is cliff side or staring up a massive waterfall. This is for experienced hikers who are up for a challenge, as most of these hikes are not for beginners! Hawaii terrain is very unique. When you inquire about an adventure session, I'll get specific with you about your ability level and what you are looking for, and match you with the right location! The important thing is that your location is the right fit for you, and that you feel safe, comfortable, and most of all you have a GOOD TIME while we are working together! And hey, if you are afraid of heights in general, don't worry. I've got third collection for those who would rather stick to beach frolicks! 🤗 Interested in what your session in Hawaii could look like? DM me "📷" for more info!!

One reason I love owning my own business: FREEDOM. And this spans across the theme for basically my entire life. I have designed my life so that I have the freedom to: Work when I want. Go where I want. Create any ideas I have. Be in charge of how much I make. Work with the clients I want. Work from anywhere. Is it easy? Hell no. It can be super frustrating at times. But I wouldn't have it any other way!! All my business owners out there - what is something you love about owning your own business?

Are you afraid to try something new because you are scared of what others think? Let me tell ya - that's normal. Everyone feels that way. Even the folks you look up to. At the end of the day, you are living your life. Not anyone else. If you shrink yourself to make others happy - you will end up miserable. And I've got a secret for you. Those people you shrink yourself for? They aren't your people. They won't be happy with you no matter what you do. That's okay. You won't be for everyone. Just make sure you are for you. That you are letting YOU live. ❤️ Share this with someone who needs to hear this today!

I'm so much more than a photographer. I'm an adventure guide. A coordinator. A vendor matchmaker. And sometimes, even officiant for my couples. I don't see elopements or photoshoots as just showing up and taking photos. I've always loved going above and beyond, and creating a one of a kind experience for my couples. Especially those who are planning from thousands of miles away and have never been to the islands before! This has been on my mind a lot - and I finally put everything into words. And I present to you a mini rebrand on my site, complete with new collections. I'll be making a few more design tweaks, but I just couldn't wait any longer to share! Head to the link in my bio, and click around from there! Ready to do the damn thing? DM me 'booking' to start planning your elopement or couples photo sesh!

Things I wish I knew in my 20s: I made a dump list on my 31st. I have no regrets in my life, everything has brought me to where I am, and I absolutely love the life I have built for myself. BUT things would have been a tad easier if I knew the following: - People's opinion of you is none of your business. - Mixed signals are clear signals of a "no." Walk away. - Unhappiness comes from trying to change ourselves to make others happy. - You will always be miserable when you go against what your intuition says. - Love yourself. Like really, truly love yourself so much that you can walk away from anyone mistreating you. - You words are energy. Don't be so mean. Say nice shit to yourself on the daily. - Let go of control, keep following your intuition, and everything with unfold exactly how it is supposed to. What is your biggest piece of life advice you want to share? I'd love to hear in the comments!
