  • This teapot has recently come back to me. I bought it from one of my early teachers, Ian Godfrey, in the mid 1980s at Montem pottery in Hornsey . I think it is a real winner with such a surprising combination of different elements . The faceted spout, substantial lid knob, large handle loops and small back handle as well as all the applied decoration. So much going on but for me it really comes together so well .
