I first heard this word when I came to NYC in 2000 as a grad student working at Barnard College. It took me a minute to fully understand why this change mattered; now I can’t imagine NOT using it.   • 💰What is your money goal for your business?💰 When I first decided to start my side hustle I said my goal was $7K...in the whole year. I figured that would help me pay off my car. I thought to ask for more would be selfish. ➡️ Since April, I have 5x’d my side hustle while working full-time going from $0 to over $50K. Looking back I see that I set my goal so that I could achieve, not to exceed it. As a teacher, I push my students to set lofty goals. I tell them “try for that reach goal, even if you don’t hit it you still will succeed.” But for myself, it was hard to reach that goal. 🧲That’s why hiring my first 1:1 coach changed my business. She didn’t let me settle for a safe goal; she pushed me to try for the scary goal. The one that would ultimately bring in a $10K month.
