  • Hey, 👋🏻 Long time no see!

I’ve pretty much taken a whole month off 😳

I don’t think I’ve ever done that before, but clearly I needed it... I was true to my word and did a lot of sewing (5 aprons, 13 masks), walked a lot of dogs and deep cleaned my house.

While I’m not 100% back in work mode, I am feeling a lot more like myself and don’t mind opening my computer or picking up my camera. And I’m really looking forward to seeing all of your faces again soon 🥰

  • Baby Bundles = a collection of sessions documenting a baby's first year, most typically newborn, 4 month, 8 month and 1 year.

Newborn sessions are shot at your home (completely outside if you'd like) or masked-up and safe inside. Part lifestyle, part posed. Ideally between 5 and 15 days old, but if that window expires, I've shot "newborn" sessions at 6 weeks old! Whatever works for you! Parents are encouraged to be in most of the photos ❤️

4 Month Sessions - most 4 month olds make great eye contact, hold their heads up fairly well and love to smile! Prepare to join your baby in a lot of these photos, because most 4 month olds need some help sitting upright or a little help with their heads. A lot of times these session locations are chosen based on the time of year; we'll pick something based on outside temps or what's in season.

8 Month Sessions - I think these sessions are my favorite! Chubby, smiley, sitting babies that think I'm hilarious 🥰 This is the session to skip if you don't want to be every session! Most 8 month olds are perfectly content to let you put them down. Some can stand against a bench or crawl, too! Again, a lot of times we choose a location based on weather or the desire to have variety in the final set of photos.

12 Month Sessions - 1 year olds make me giggle 😂 They all want to be independent, hands-free and they definitely don't want to look at the camera. We spend most of the session picking them up, putting them down, making kissy noises and helping them walk wherever they think they want to go! Feel free to bring a smash-cake or balloons or change their outfits!

Swipe to see Millie's first year ❤️

  • 2020 was weird, pretty damn good, and really horrible all at once.

I'm the girl that finds the silver lining in everything, ya know?
I can see all sides of the coin.
I make lemonade AND lemon pie when life hands me lemons.

BUT...as I reflect on the year while sewing for hours (and days) at a time, I am left feeling empty.
At the start of 2020 I had huge plans for big growth, a new brand, lots of new systems and big financial goals, but...2020 was a struggle.
I struggled through trying to work with my kids home.
I struggled to work with my kids home AND virtual school.
I struggled to work with my kids home and virtual school and extra meals and a dirty house.
I struggled to work with my kids home and virtual school and extra meals and a dirty house WHILE staying home for months and months.
I struggled not seeing my family and friends.

I also loved having the kids home.
I loved not having obligations and extra curricular things to do every evening.
I loved watching the kids jump on the trampoline for hours at a time.
I loved Front Porch Portraits.
I loved walking the dog(s) and working out every day.
I loved my relaxed mornings with coffee and Instagram.
I loved playing cards with the kids and home improvement projects.
I loved meals together and listening to the kids talk for hours about utter nonsense.

I saw and experienced big growth, yes, but not where I imagined it would be.
New systems, hell yes, but not on the back end of my business.
Big financial goals morphed into "let's make enough money to feed the kids"! (which I did!)

I sit here empty and a little lost as my kids go back to school and life moves on behind a mask. I am no longer sure what my goals are or what they should be, but I do know that I wouldn't have made through 2020 without every last one of you (and @johncwooten ). Thank you so much for the support ❤️

  • Hi 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’m going off the grid for a weekish ☺️

Gonna sew, clean, watch movies and celebrate @johncwooten ‘s birthday - I’m gonna be busy 😉 There might be a few G&T’s thrown in the mix!

But hopefully the rest and downtime will help me plan for the coming year so I can serve you guys better!

Happy New Year!!
