  • I haven’t posted ANYTHING in the last three weeks and here’s why + what’s happened 👇🏼 I took control over my work/life balance. I was spending so much time behind the computer (doing what I love: work), but realized I had neglected so many parts of myself the last few months. I wasn’t running the business, the business was running me. So... I quit spending 12-14 hours a day in front of my laptop working and spent my time doing things that I missed most. I went hiking a few times, picked up mountain biking, started biking every single day, went back home for a week to spend time with friends and family, went on a bachelorette trip, started cooking more, only drinking water daily (except on the weekends), started going to sleep earlier and waking up earlier and it feels really really good. I love my job so much . And I care soooo much for our clients + helping them succeed in their businesses, but I began to neglect myself. And I felt it. The hustle is real. But there’s got to be a balance, ya know? I had this really unhealthy mindset that if I wasn’t working on my business or “working the pipeline”, business would tank. And I would fail. It couldn’t be further from the truth. We hit record breaking numbers, we still had new client bookings, our website traffic actually increased, opt-ins remaining the same, and everything’s just fine. And if you’re reading this and you relate, trust me, I know how you feel. But please set aside time to take care of yourself. Do things outside of your business that make you happy. Yes, your clients and business need you, but you need you too. 🤍 Anyone else relate to loving their job so much it’s hard to step away?? Put a 👋🏼 in the comments if you relate. pc: @rachelwakefield

  • Mental health is real. Suicide is real. Mental illnesses may be invisible, but the people who live with it are not. September is Suicide Prevention Month. This honestly hits extremely close to me. I have people whom I am very close to that struggle with suicidal depression. Our friends and family that struggle with these thoughts can be feel a rollercoaster of emotions for hours, days, weeks, and even months. It’s heartbreaking and I feel so helpless at times. But it’s something as simple as saying to someone, “I’m here for you. You are loved. You are not alone.” We all feel overwhelmed by difficult emotions and situations sometimes. Everyone needs a loving message occasionally but those that fight these painful thoughts and think the only way out of their pain is to hurt themselves need it even more. I have read countless stories of it taking that ONE person to reach out and let them know they are loved and cared for. The things we strive to accomplish aren’t worth it if we can’t celebrate with our family and friends. So if you know someone or feel a tug on your heart to reach out to someone, do it. Don’t think twice about it. Because you never know how much of a positive impact you can make. If you need someone to talk to, please know my DMs are always open. Never be afraid to share how you are feeling or reach out to someone and know there is always someone who does care about you. You are seen. You are loved. You will get through this. You are important to me. ❤️
