8 MINUTE ARMS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨💪🏼✨⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t get me wrong - I love weights, bands and other props. But I also *love* bodyweight movements that don’t require any equipment. Why? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ‣ makes movement accessible to anyone ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ‣ you can do the moves anywhere - at home, at the gym, at the beach, in a hotel room, etc⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ‣ helps you make that mind-body connection I’m always preaching about. When you use your own weight, it forces you to be mindful in creating resistance. Mind-body connection is key in getting to know your body and therefore caring for it in the way that best serves you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The new video is up on my YouTube channel now. MORNING RITUALS 🍋🍋🍋 How do you like to start the day? My rituals include meditation, tongue scraping, brushing my teeth, warm water with lemon and apple cider vinegar, devotion and prayer. I feel like how you start your morning really sets the tone for the day, ya know? And none of these things are costly - wellness can be easy and cheap! You’ve probably heard this from a million people, but the Ayurvedic practice of drinking warm lemon water is such a beneficial step (and sometimes I like to add a splash of ACV for an extra kick). Why? From the Ayurvedic point of view, digestion is like a fire (Agni). Drinking something warm (especially first thing in the morning) helps to stoke that fire and keep everything running smoothly. Also… ‣ rehydration after sleep ‣ boost of Vitamin C ‣ happy liver support ‣ anti-inflammatory ‣ creates a soothing start to the day See? Just a little ritual with lots of perks. CLIENT LOVE 💍💍💍 Remember those process videos I was sharing this week? Well, all of that work came together for the latest project with @gembreakfast and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Owner Catherine wanted custom illustrations for a jewelry anatomy blog post (beautifully written by @rose.quartz.creative). All of those psychedelic lines and colors turned into very chic and on-brand illy’s, don’t you think?
