This week in reception, the children participated in a dinosaur workshop. The children learned about different types of dinosaurs and tried their hands at being a palaeontologist. They carefully unearthed bones and investigated what dinosaur they could belong to.

Y6 had a fun day at Southend this week - celebrating all of their hard work and accomplishments during their time at SPPS!

Look at this bumper crop of potatoes from Y1! The children have been learning about plants and the growing cycle so they planted potatoes, made observations of the the changes, and then got to enjoy the fruits of their labor after they were harvested.

Last week was Enterprise Week at SPPS. The children became excellent business people as they created, marketed, and sold products. We had judges come in from UAL and Maltby St. Market to judge the products. Parents came out in full force to support the children on Market Day! The children made over £1,000 and profits reached £500 across the school. We would like to give a massive thank you to Ms. Newman and the teaching staff for organising such a fun and educational experience our children!

Summers at Southwark Park Primary School mean time in Southwark Park. The park is our extended classroom and we try to use this space as much as possible when the weather is nice!

Here is one of our teachers with her class as they get a turtle safely back into the pond!

It is Enterprise Week! The children have been busy conducting market research, designing and creating products to be sold at our SPPS Market. Each project will be judged by a panel of experts from Maltby Street Market and students from London College of Communication.

The market will be Monday the 29th of June. Parents are invited to come in a bit earlier to start shopping. Make sure you come grab something before it is all gone!

Last week we had our SPPS PTA Summer Fair! It was wonderful seeing all of the families, ex-pupils, and community members enjoying the activities and BBQ. Thank you for all of your contributions as the event raised over £3,000 for the PTA!

We also would like to give a massive THANK YOU to our PTA, as they work so many hours organising and getting the fair ready for all of us to enjoy!

This afternoon is the SPPS PTA's Summer Fair!

We will operate a one way system to safeguard children. All parents need to enter the front doors (Southwark Park Road) to collect their children at the end of the day. You will need to immediately exit out the back gate and then walk to the front of the building to enter the Summer Fair. This helps us ensure that children are safe and staff are able to get to their stations.

I hope we all have a fun evening for the children!
