You will be able to get a lot of your couple photos done before the ceremony - This gives you two a chance to read letters to each other and exchange gifts - If you're getting married in the winter, you aren't going to have to worry about running out of light after the family photos - Everything will be fresh: hair, make up, flowers. . . An elopement: • Keeps the focus on the couple • There are as little as 2 people and there may be no guests or there may also be 20 guests • Can be anywhere • More on the non-traditional side • There are no rules . . Aren't elopements just for people getting married in secret? . The definition of an elopement has changed over the years. It used to mean that you'd run to Vegas, get married by Elvis and boom, married! Not anymore . An elopement is bringing your wedding day back to the basics: being about you. After all, it is your relationship that you're celebrating. Your wedding day is about the day that you say I do to your partner in crime...the way that YOU want. . Elopements can have guests--family and friends. It can have whatever you want. What it can't have is the pressure of outside expectation. There's no room for that, and why should there be? . If you are feeling the pressure of planning a big wedding, look at your fiancé and and plan out if you could do ANYTHING to celebrate your relationship, with no limitations what would you do? . Would you go to a mountain top on a helicopter? Would you backpack the Grand Canyon? Would you rent a cabin and just go hang out for the weekend?
