Hubbub coffee cup recycling has come a long way! 🥳 From #1MoreShot to #SquareMileChallenge to #LeedsByExample, #TheCupFund, and now the launch of coffee cup recycling across Network Rail’s mainline stations - all supported by the @starbucksuk #5pCupCharge, making coffee cup recycling easier and simpler than ever ☕️ In the UK, we use almost 3 billion coffee cups per year, but only 4% are currently recycled correctly 😬 Coffee cups can be easily recycled but, because they have a plastic lining that stops hot drinks from leaking, they need to be collected separately from other recycling ♻️ You can now Sip, Save & Recycle your cups to help us make Network Rail’s stations cleaner and greener 🍃 #InTheLoop #SipSaveRecycle #RecycleWeek #recycleweek2020

Attn. commuters! Today we're celebrating the launch of coffee cup recycling across Network Rail’s mainline stations. Starting with Cannon Street, Charing Cross, Kings Cross, Leeds, Liverpool Street, London Bridge and Waterloo, special bins will be rolled out across all mainline stations across the UK by the end of October. This has been supported by funds from the @starbucksuk 5p cup charge - making cup recycling easier than ever. In the UK, we use almost 3 billion coffee cups per year, but only 4% are currently recycled correctly. Whilst they can be easily recycled, they need to be collected separately from other recycling. Less than half (45%) of Londoners say they’re confident about what can be recycled.
