  • Inspiration can come from the most ELEMENTary of places! Our students have been studying the periodic table and completed the unit of study with presentations on each element. In honor of International Women’s Science Day, we pay tribute to the women in science who have influenced our generation and to their contributions that have shaped our lives.

  • To kickoff our health curriculum we had our very own Coach DeJon address the students at our S&P location. Coach presented an interactive and informative presentation focusing on three areas that contribute to physical well-being: nutrition, exercise, and mental health. He also spoke about limiting social media and alternate healthier ways to invest time and energy. The students were engaged and asked great questions. We are privileged to have such great educators be part of our health education and look forward to our continued learning!

  • Today, MDS remembers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., champion of civil rights, who dreamed of a society where no one is judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Students read his iconic speech and reflected on the power of their words to build and shape a better world. #mlkday #mdsconnects

  • First hand experience in the Arctic! Students in N3C learned about how arctic animals stay warm. They tested cold water first, then put on “blubber” and were warmed up instantly, just like polar bears! #winterfun #arcticunit #animals 🐧🐻‍❄️❄️
