✅ BOOKMARK ME! - 3 NOT SO OBVIOUS REASONS TO BUILD A STRONG CORE ➡️ You want to DECLINE the starring role in the next Life Alert commercial Remember the, "I've fallen and I can't get up!" commercials. Yeah, me too...and the older that I get the more I worry about being the modern version of the Life Alert lady. 💯 Building a strong core improves stability and balance, so you can stay upright. No snazzy Life Alert buttons for you. ➡️ You want to give Serena Williams a run for her money. Well...o.k. Serena Williams may be a stretch, but I bet you could challenge Barb Williams down the street. Core strength is great for your inner athlete. It helps you move freely and stay injury free. So grab your tennis racket and ring Barb's doorbell. ➡️You want to build sexy legs (or shoulders or back or....) The core is not only a group of muscles that wrap around your middle, but they are the CORE (get it) of your strength. Core muscles stabilize the ENTIRE body so that you can safely brace yourself for strength exercises. So if you've been wanting to build your arms, legs, butt 🍑, shoulders, or any other part of you - begin by building core strength FIRST. Want some more strength training? ✅ Go to www.therealjennifernagel.com/workout to get some more exercises.
It's sooooo not cool to talk about weight loss these days. We are all supposed to be at peace with our bodies and any discussion about weight loss is gets dumped into "diet culture". But there are a lot of valid reasons why you may want to lose weight: ➡️ You want to reduce your risk of heart disease or other obesity related illnesses ➡️ You want your joints to feel better ➡️ You want more energy to play with your kids ➡️ You just feel better with less body fat The challenge is that weight loss methods range from safe and sustainable to hocus pocus garbage and you get stuck at a plateau and have no clue what to do. So tell me - what's your biggest challenge in losing the first (or next or last) 5lbs? I have a resource that could help!
Feeling incredibly GRATEFUL this morning on #worldteachersday I don't have enough characters to mention ALL of the amazing mentors I've had, so I am tagging a couple people who have been especially awesome these last couple months: @lisasimonerichards From our first conversation, I knew you would be an amazing person to learn from. You helped me overcome my natural shyness and take my business to the next level. And in the middle of all of the seriousness, we can always have a great hair and makeup conversations! @reubendriedger Who says you can't learn from people younger than you? You totally make me feel like an old lady sometimes, but I can deal with that. ;-) Thank you so much for all of the great advice, encouragement and care! Plus being my birthday twin makes you extra special! @kelbydenee My partner in crime! I don't think you realize how amazingly smart and talented you are! You understand me. You challenge me. I'm so glad we linked up! And...I do want to give a special shout out to my wonderful friends who are teachers and are working their butts off to ensure that our kiddos can have a wonderful education despite ever-changing circumstances! @_joethornton @chellespisz20 - your students are blessed to have you1 Which teachers and mentors inspire you? Tag them and show them some love!
One of my VERY first Instagram posts! 😆 Clearly a lot has changed 😆 My smart phone picture quality 😆 I finally learned how to properly use an eyebrow pencil 😆 My babies are fully grown people now I remember thinking how much fun I was having with my family and how much I was dreading going to work the next day. Back in those days, I thought that I got what I got. I figured I was always going to be a loveable, but slightly chunky mom who kind of (but not always) liked her job and I just had to learn to be happy with my life. Man! I’m so glad I snapped out of those thoughts! 💯 Fast forward to now and I’m still loveable (lol!), but I never dread any day that I get to wake up and help women be at their best. I LOVE my career and my lifestyle. ➡️ The best part - I know I’m always 100% in control of my future. Do you ever feel like you are stuck with a good, but not great (life/health/relationship/job)? Have you ever told yourself that it’s “too late” or that you’re “too old” or it’s “too hard” to live your dream?
Do you actually like yourself? 💕 Then treat yourself like you do. Even if you're working toward a particular goal, you can do so out of love. ❌ Not because you need to "work off" a big meal ❌ Not because you "look fat" ❌ Not because you are have to squeeze into a bridesmaids dress It's o.k. to love yourself and want to improve at the same time.
