Life is constantly showing us lessons that we have to learn in difficult ways. I’m pretty much getting a masters in mistakes right now 😅 However, today was a nice reprieve from everything happening. The students have opened my eyes to different cultures, perspectives, and injustices. They’ve helped me to become more patient, kind, understanding, resourceful, and confident. Whether or not I have an impact on their lives, I pray they will contribute positively to this world and those living in it. They have the abilities to do something good, and I’m rooting for them. Day 7 of gratitude: Never did I think teaching would be one of my professions in life. After teaching calligraphy and watercolor workshops, helping with children’s church, and finding a few open art teacher positions, I took the leap (and test) to be certified in K-12 art. The students have opened my eyes to different cultures, perspectives, and injustices. They’ve helped me to become more patient, kind, understanding, resourceful, and confident.
