• Today in our Secret Handstand Club zoom class we focused on alignment.

Alignment is about positioning our bodies in a way that builds a good relationship between different parts of our bodies. Some shoulder positions will put more strain on our elbows. Some positions of your feet will put a different stress on your shoulders and spine. None of these are wrong, but a stacked line will be your most efficient line.

One big advantage is that when you push straight down you are directing the force straight through your body. No energy is lost along the way.

As you change shape your alignment will adjust and change. But if you focus on making the positions feel good then your alignment will be good. Things that feel bad or awkward are usually not the ideal position for you.

Stack your joints and then direct the force through your body (PUSH).

Try this with your hands on the wall, standing with a band and eventually upside down.

The more ways you learn to move the more you trust your body to adapt to a particular situation.

Rolling on the floor is one of my favourite, safe ways to explore movement. Here are 5 beginner friendly rolls that you can try to have fun, feel good and increase your movement capabilities.

I also failed some strict muscle up reps so did some pull-overs to eccentric muscle ups to build some strength.

And then for fun did some front lever work.

My pulling is definitely getting better as I test out the new Pulling program that @modusathletica I are co-creating. My ultimate goal is to go back to Stockholm and successfully perform a muscle up alongside @maddelisk_workout.
